“No, Sir. Everything is as planned,” Viola replied. She glanced at me briefly, as if sensing something different, but she was too professional to ask.
I nodded again and leaned back. Beyond the glass, planes were lining up for takeoff, one after another, carryingpeople away from something or perhaps toward something else.
I slipped my hand into my jacket pocket, feeling my phone there. A small urge surfaced to send a short message. Just to check in. But I stopped myself. Sienna didn’t like it when I worried too much. And I had promised to focus.
We remained in the VIP lounge until boarding was announced. Viola reviewed the itinerary again with meetings with branch representatives, project inspections, and dinner with a new potential partner. All important. All necessary. Yet her voice gradually felt like a distant echo I could barely grasp.
“Is there anything you’d like me to adjust in the schedule, Sir?” Viola asked.
Liam’s POV:
I snapped back to attention and shook my head lightly. ”
No. Everything is fine.”
