**TITLE: Obsidian Dawn 446**
**CONTENT: Chapter 446 Zera Is Her Daughter**

Anna’s gaze was fixed on George, her heart pounding in her chest as she delivered the news that had been weighing heavily on her mind. “The baby is already over three months old,” she began, her voice steady yet laced with an undercurrent of defiance. “Someone checked for me—it’s a boy. I had hoped to surprise you with this news, but let’s be honest, you’ve never shown much interest anyway. So, I’ve made my decision. Tomorrow, I’m going to the hospital to end it.”

George’s expression shifted, a mix of desperation and determination flooding his features. He pulled her close, his voice dropping to a whisper that barely masked the urgency behind it. “If you can give me a child, I’ll divorce right away and give you a grand wedding.” His eyes sparkled with a mix of hope and desire, as if he believed his words could somehow change everything.

Anna, however, was not swayed. She pushed him away with purpose, her resolve hardening. “I’ll keep the baby, but you have to save my niece.” The weight of her words hung in the air, a challenge that demanded his immediate attention.

George’s brow furrowed, stress evident in the way he clenched his jaw. Yet, he nodded, agreeing to her terms. “I’ll meet with Mr. Winter again this afternoon. No matter what it takes, I’ll get your niece out.” The promise was heavy with the implications of his commitment, and Anna felt a flicker of satisfaction.

With a rush of emotion, Anna threw herself into his arms, the warmth of his body wrapping around her like a protective shield. “You must save my niece,” she insisted, her voice barely above a whisper but filled with urgency.

“I would betray my friend for you,” George declared, his excitement palpable as he held her close, kissing her tenderly. “I’ve stayed with you for years, and I haven’t seen you in half a month. Let me make it right.”

Meanwhile, inside the dimly lit living room, a middle-aged couple was entangled on the couch, oblivious to the chaos brewing outside.

Outside, Raine stood at the entrance, her expression a mix of disbelief and anger as she faced the heiress of the Cunninghams. Rachel Cunningham, George’s daughter, seethed with rage, her teeth gritted. “That bitch Anna! My mother treated her like a best friend, and all this time, she’s been sleeping with my dad! I swear, I’m going to rip her face off!”

Raine, ever the voice of reason, stepped in to temper Rachel’s fury. “Mr. Cunningham is still your dad. If you start a fight, he’ll definitely protect that homewrecker.”

But Raine was not one to shy away from stirring the pot. “Let’s catch them in the act. While they’re still in there, call your mom. Tell her to bring your three aunts and two uncles.”

Just ten minutes later, George and Anna lay sprawled on the couch, their clothes hastily thrown aside, lost in their own world of reckless abandon.

George, panting with satisfaction, looked at Anna with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. “Don’t worry, Anna. If you give me a son, I’ll dump my wife and marry you.”

Anna seized the moment, her voice smooth yet insistent. “George, my brother died young and left behind two kids. They’ve had a hard life. I only have one niece. You have to help me save her.”

What George didn’t know was that Zera was actually Anna’s child, born from a secret pregnancy during her student years.

At the same time, her sister-in-law, Shirley, was working tirelessly at a mill. The relentless grind of overwork and sleepless nights took its toll, leading to a premature labor that ended in tragedy.

In the sterile atmosphere of the hospital, the doctor delivered the heartbreaking news: Shirley’s baby didn’t make it.

In the wake of that loss, Anna’s parents made a fateful decision. They arranged for Anna to undergo an early C-section to take the baby, deceitfully telling Shirley that she had given birth to a girl. Only Anna, her parents, and her brother were privy to this dark secret.

As time passed, Anna’s parents succumbed to their own mortality, and her brother fell victim to cancer. With their deaths, the knowledge of that secret died with them, leaving Anna alone to bear the weight of her hidden past.

But before Anna could escape, Jolene, his wife, seized her by the hair, yanking her back with a fierce grip.

George attempted to intervene, but Jolene’s brothers tackled him to the floor, their fists flying as they began to beat him mercilessly.

Jolene, her voice dripping with venom, pulled Anna’s hair tighter. “Anna, we’ve been classmates for years. I treated you like my best friend, but you seduced my husband in secret?! You disgusting bitch!”

Her sisters rushed forward, their anger palpable. “Don’t waste time talking to trash!”

They pinned Anna down, tearing at her clothes and slapping her with abandon.

In that moment, Anna’s world narrowed down to a single thought: she had to protect her stomach. “George, help me!” she cried, her voice breaking as she curled into a protective ball.

For years, she had swallowed her pride, flattering everyone she met, playing whatever role she needed to survive. Now, with her affair with George laid bare, she had to hold onto the baby and force him to leave his wife.

If she could keep the child, she might just secure her place within the Cunninghams. Once she became his wife, no one would dare to speak of her past again.

George, battered and struggling to rise, fought against the pain, desperate to reach her, but the blows had left him too weak to stand.
