Chapter 484 Can I Get a Ride With You?
Thomas spoke up. “Mom, we have acknowledged Zera as part of our family. We brought her to the Winter Estate to apologize. We have done everything we could, and we owe her nothing. When we get home, we’ll give her some money to get settled. She doesn’t need to come back to the Hill Estate with us!”
Zera was shocked. All she wanted was to force the Winters to make peace.
She didn’t expect Thomas and Lilian to take things this far.
Seeing Natasha hesitate, Zera made the first move.
“Grandma, Dad, and Mom. I know you all look down on me and can’t stand me. I’ll leave right now. I won’t stay at the Hill Estate another minute to bother you.”
With that, she burst into tears, jumped out of the car, and ran off.
Natasha quickly told the driver to follow her.
Then she snapped at Thomas. “Caleb was your only brother. He died so young, and Zera is his only daughter. How could you not accept her as family?”
Lilian had had enough and snapped, “Natasha, don’t blame this on Thomas. Zera’s the one with the bad character. She’s just not right for the Hills.”
Natasha pointed at Thomas and Lilian. “The Hills‘ fortune was built over generations, and Caleb contributed, too. Now that he’s gone, Zera has the right to inherit the family fortune and live at Hill Estate!”
She continued, “Even if Zera’s behavior isn’t perfect, she’s still your niece. I didn’t even tell the world who she really is. I only let her become your adopted daughter so that she could inherit half the Hills estate. That’s already unfair to her. What more do you want?”
Thomas lost his patience. “Mom, Caleb spent his life partying. He never brought the family any honor. Even if he were alive, he wouldn’t deserve the Hills‘ fortune, let alone his illegitimate daughter!”
At that moment, the driver came back to report that Zera had already taken a cab and left.
Seeing Zera about to be cast out, Natasha lost her temper. “Go find Zera. If you can’t, don’t come back to Hill Estate!
“As long as I’m alive, Zera will live at Hill Estate with me!”

Lilian, seeing the argument was going nowhere, had to back down. “Natasha, please calm down. Let’s go home first, and I’ll send someone to find her right away.”
At last, the Hills‘ car slowly drove out of the Winter Estate gates.
In the Winter family’s living room, Tyrone turned to Aella. “Wait a few minutes. I’ll drive you home.”
Before Aella could refuse, Tyrone went upstairs.
Just as Tyrone reached the landing, Brad arrived.
Brad pointed outside. “I just saw Zera at the door. What was she doing here?”
Raine spat in disgust. “Don’t mention that awful woman.”
Brad put his arm around Raine. “Ready to go?”
Aella hurried over and asked, “Brad, can I get a ride with you?”
Brad grinned. “Doesn’t matter if it’s out of the way. If you need a ride, just say the word.”
Raine stopped Brad. “Tyrone said he’d take Aella home.”
Brad frowned. “It doesn’t matter who drives her. It’s all the same.”
He happened to have something to ask Aella anyway.
A few minutes later, Tyrone came down from upstairs. “Mom, where’s Aella?”
Virginia said, “She left with Raine and Brad.”
Tyrone tightened his grip on the car keys, completely speechless.
An hour later, in a remote house on the outskirts of Vleka, Zera poured out everything that had happened at the Winters‘ to Anna.
The Winters always looked down on me. Now I’m officially the Hills‘ adopted daughter, and they still don’t respect me. Why?
She went on, “I’m the Hills‘ heiress. I have their blood. What right do Thomas and Lilian have to drive me out?”
Anna looked worried but tried to calm her. “Zera, you acted too impulsively!”

404 Can I Get a Ride With You?
Years ago, Anna was still in school and went to a bar with friends.
A young man tossed her 10,000 dollars in cash, and she slept with him that night.
She hadn’t known then that he was Caleb Hill, the Hills‘ second son.

Caleb died young and left behind Zera as his only child, but she didn’t know her identity at first.
In her quest to marry into the family, Zera even tried to donate a kidney to Natasha, and during the checkup, her true identity was revealed.
When Natasha found out her kidney donor was actually her favorite son’s only child, she fainted on the spot.
It was like fate had stepped in to help Zera.
Anna reassured her, “As long as Mrs. Natasha is here, you’ll always have a place at the Hills.”
Zera was still uneasy. “Mom, everyone at Hill Estate–right down to the servants–looks down on me. I hate them all.”
Luckily, her mother was Anna, not some farmer’s wife like Shirley.
And luckily, the man who got involved with her birth mother was a rich heir. That’s the only reason she had this once–in–a–lifetime chance to get into an elite family like the Hills.
Anna blushed and told Zera, “This is destiny. Your father was the Hills‘ second son. Half of everything they own should be yours.”
She added, “Mrs. Natasha doesn’t have much time left. While she’s still here, you have to seize your chance and take back everything that belongs to you!”
