Chapter 562 The Text That Made Him Choke
The suggestive position made Tyrone’s whole body tense up.
The more he tried to push Aella away, the tighter she clung to him.
Tyrone’s eyes flashed with warning. “Aella!”
Aella wrapped her arms around his neck, her voice a playful, flirtatious whine. “I want to kiss you, Tyrone…”

The moment she said the word “kiss“-before she had even touched his lips–Tyrone felt like electricity had shot through his body.
He used silence to suppress the storm raging inside him.
But his ragged breathing betrayed his true reaction.
He forcefully pushed her off and stumbled to his feet, heading for the door.
If this kept up, even he couldn’t guarantee he would be able to hold back.
Suddenly, Aella doubled over with an “ow” and plopped down on the floor, clutching her ankle and whimpering.
Hearing her cry out in pain, Tyrone stopped and turned back. “Did you hurt yourself?”
Aella let out a pitiful little whimper. “You pushed me so hard. I twisted my ankle. This is all your fault.”
Tyrone bent down and scooped her up in his arms, carrying her into the bedroom.
He carefully set her down on the bed, but Aella kept her arms locked around his neck, refusing to let go.
His eyes warned her. “Let go. I need to check how bad your ankle is.”
Aella lay on her back, still holding onto his neck, and shook her head. “I want my
reward.”
Tyrone braced his hands on either side of her.
He looked down into her eyes. “Anything except what you just asked for. Name it and it’s yours.”
Aella huffed. “I have everything I need. The only thing I’m missing is your love.”
Their eyes met at close range. The certainty in her gaze/made Tyrone’s heart skip a beat.
He fought desperately to control the restlessness inside him and forced her hands apart.
Aella slowly sat up as Tyrone stepped back and crouched down to examine her ankle.
Sensing that she was about to pounce on him again, Tyrone stood up first.

He knew it. She had faked it.
Her ankle wasn’t hurt at all.
He shot her another warning look.
Aella finally behaved.
She knelt on the bed and tugged at the hem of his shirt, her voice soft and pleading. “Fine, no kiss. But can I at least get a hug?”
Her movements were careful, her tone sweet, her eyes full of hopeful affection.
Tyrone didn’t know how to handle this version of Aella.
She tilted her head up and pressed on. “You’ve hugged me a million times since we were kids. Why are you being so weird about it now?”
Standing at the edge of the bed, Tyrone reached out and pulled her into his arms.
Aella nestled happily against his chest, wrapping her arms around his waist.
This kind of intimacy–the closeness of a couple–was something they had shared countless times growing up.
It had always been a habit, and Tyrone had never thought twice about it before.
But now…
Every time he got close, every time they touched, it felt different.
This feeling was driving him toward temptation, toward making mistakes.
Aella tried to make him stay longer. “Mom said she’s making something delicious for lunch. Can you stay and eat before you go?”
Tyrone patted her shoulder and let go. “I have something to take care of this afternoon.”
Just then, his phone buzzed in his pocket.
Tyrone glanced at the caller ID.
He told Aella, “I need to head out. Think about what you want and call me.”
With that, he turned and walked out of the bedroom.
Aella followed him to the sitting room. “Tyrone, is that woman calling you?”
Tyrone sensed her unease.
Faced with her fierce possessiveness, her blatant claim over him, he didn’t feel annoyed. If anything, it

He wrapped an arm around her shoulder, looked into her eyes, and his voice softened without him even realizing it.
The words slipped out before he could stop them. “Don’t worry. You’re the only woman who will ever be by my side.”
Aella stared at him, stunned, unable to process what she had just heard.
Tyrone pinched her cheek and left.
Long after Tyrone was gone, Aella was still standing in her room in a daze.
What he just said–did that count as a confession?
The thought made her giddy. She threw herself onto the bed and rolled around happily.
She was an adult now.
No matter what anyone said, she loved Tyrone.
She was head over heels for him.
She was obsessed with his handsome face, his cool, aloof aura, his incredible body, and even the smelled.

She loved curling up next to him, loved walking down the street holding his hand, loved the exasperated sigh he let out whenever she pushed him too far and he gave in.
She loved the way his eyes focused on her, loved the sound of his sexy voice calling her name.
In short, she loved everything about him.
She just wanted him.
Wanted to possess him.
Wanted to make him hers and never give another woman the chance to lay a finger on him.
Aella pulled out her phone and sent Tyrone an animated GIF of two stick figures doing something very suggestive.
Outside a shopping center downtown, Tyrone parked his car and saw the dirty meme Aella had sent him. He shook his head, somewhere between amused and exasperated.
