Chapter 596 She’s Lying
Tyrone looked down and immediately saw the red slap mark on Aella’s face.
His expression turned cold. “Don’t worry. I won’t let you suffer for nothing.”
He looked up at Zera, his eyes full of hidden rage.

Without making a fuss, he wrapped an arm around Aella’s shoulders and walked her over to her parents, politely greeting them first.
Zera was shaken by Tyrone’s look.
Feeling guilty, she backed up next to Daniel. “D–Daniel…”
Daniel looked at Zera with disgust.
But she was still technically the only child his uncle had left behind She was a Hill.
So he had to take care of her whether he wanted to or not.
Daniel gave Zera a stern look. “Why are you here this late? What happened between you and Ms. Reid?”
Zera didn’t dare admit she came on purpose to cause trouble.
She lied, “Daniel, Jenny asked me to hang out. I was just passing by when I ran into Ms. Reid. She misunderstood me, knocked my phone out of my hand, and refused to pay for it. I only argued with her a
little bit.”
Aella called her out on the spot. “Zera, stop lying! You called me and told me to come out to the front gate. You came here specifically to mess with me!”
Zera denied it right away. “I didn’t!”
Aella shot back, “Open your call log and we’ll know the truth!”
Meeting Tyrone’s icy stare, Zera panicked and lowered her head, twisting her hands together.
Aella, you bitch. Just wait.
Daniel gave Zera a warning look, then walked over to Aella’s parents.
He said apologetically, “Mr. Winter, Mr. Reid, Mr. Reid, Ms. Reid, if Zera did anything wrong tonight, I hope you won’t take it personally.”
Aella pointed at her face. “She slapped my face until it swelled. Don’t think you can just ignore it.”
Zera pulled her hair aside to show her face. “Daniel, look. She’s the one who slapped me!”
Aella shot back, “That was self–defense. You hit me first!”

“Boo–hoo!” Aella turned around and buried her face in Tyrone’s chest, pretending to cry. “Your ex is framing me!”
Tyrone naturally wrapped his arms around her. He looked down and clarified, “We never even held hands. That doesn’t count as an ex.”
Ever since he got together with Aella, he regretted meeting Zera, regretted agreeing to date her for those two months.
He turned to Warren. “What do you think we should do?”
He handed the decision over to them.
Warren looked at Miriam. “Honey, the Hills must give us an explanation.”
Miriam said to Daniel, “Mr. Hill, your sister beat my daughter like this. Your family must make a public apology and pay compensation for emotional distress.”
You couldn’t ask for much more than that–an apology and money were the limit.
Daniel wanted to end it peacefully. “Mrs. Reid, don’t worry. I’ll make sure my parents bring Zera to your house tomorrow to apologize in person.”
He gave Zera a final warning look and dragged her away quickly.
Luckily, it was the Reids who spoke up.
If it had been Tyrone, who knew what crazy demand he’d made.
After getting in the car, Zera still tried to defend herself. “Daniel, I’m the one who got beaten up. Why should I apologize to them?”
Daniel shot back, “You said you were just passing by. But when Aella said you called her out there to harass her, why’d you go quiet?”
That one question shut Zera up,
After a while, she nervously made up an excuse. “I was just passing by. I just thought since Ms. Reid and I have had some issues before, I’d call out to her so we could talk. I didn’t expect her to be so aggressive and slap me the moment we met.”
Daniel didn’t bother responding. He started the car and drove off.

Ten minutes later, in Aella’s bedroom on the second floor of the Reid Residence.
Aella lay on the bed, staring at Tyrone.
