Chapter 631 A Killer?
Chapter 631 A Killer?
Tyrone stood up. “Even if Aella’s parents agreed, Aella wouldn’t.”
She’d stormed off in a rage last night and even thrown the engagement ring away.
There was no way she’d agree to delay calling off the engagement.
Virginia sighed. “I went to see her at noon. She’s already agreed.”
Tyrone’s eyes widened in surprise.
Aella had been so angry and heartbroken. How could she possibly agree?

Virginia noticed the scratch marks on her son’s neck and clicked her tongue in mild annoyance. She handed him a tote bag.
“I made some dried fruit. Take it to Aella for me.”
Tyrone hesitated, then accepted it.
Virginia added, “She’s got violin practice tonight. She’ll be at her apartment.”
Watching him leave in a daze, she felt both frustrated and worried.
By 9:00 p.m., Aella had finished her lesson, called her parents, and walked back to her apartment.
As she reached the door after stepping out of the elevator, a tall shadow suddenly appeared.
Before she could identify who it was, a man slipped behind her and clamped a hand over her mouth. “Open the door,” he threatened.
She caught the sharp scent of blood on him.
Trembling, she unlocked the door with her fingerprint. The moment it opened, the man shoved her inside.
When the door slammed shut, Aella turned around and finally saw her attacker clearly.
He was about Tyrone’s height, wearing a white low–cut shirt and black pants. His figure’s long proportions were striking.
Messy bangs partly covered his eyes. His face was injured, yet his sharp good looks were impossible to hide.
He leaned against the door, hunched slightly, holding his stomach. His narrow eyes were cold and deadly, his presence dangerous.
Aella slowly backed away, keeping her gaze on him while secretly pressing her phone’s emergency call shortcut.
The man checked outside through the video doorbell, then strode over and grabbed her throat.
She was forced back until her legs hit the couch. He slammed her down by the neck.
Her phone clattered to the floor.

Aella went pale with fear.

Grabbing his wrist with both hands, she begged hoarsely, “Please don’t kill me. I won’t call the police. I’ll give you money!”
His grip tightened. “I’m being hunted. I need to hide here for a few days. As long as you don’t call the police, you’ll be safe.”
She nodded frantically, but her mind was in chaos.
Being hunted? Is he a killer?
He added coldly, “If you lie or try anything, I’ll wipe out your whole family.”
Aella shook her head violently, tears streaming down her face. “Let me go. I swear I won’t call!”
She was sure of it now.
He was a killer.
As the grip on her neck loosened, Aella scrambled away and ducked behind the curtains.
The man stared at the shaking figure hidden there and sneered. “Idiot.”
Right then, the phone lying on the floor began to ring.
Aella peeked out from behind the curtains.
In a tentative voice, she said, “Uh… If I don’t answer, my family won’t get through, and they might call the police.”
He picked up the phone, checked the screen, raised a brow, and gestured for her to come closer.
Aella walked over carefully, then grabbed the phone quickly.
When she saw Tyrone’s name, she’d never felt so relieved. She answered at once.
As soon as the call connected, Tyrone’s gentle voice came through. “I’m at your door. Open up.”
Aella never imagined his voice could sound that good.
She glanced at the man on the couch and sprinted for the door. “Tyrone, help me!”
The man slowly stood up. “Aella Reid. First–year student at Vleka International Music Academy.”
Aella froze mid–step and turned around.
He was walking toward her with her student ID in one hand and a sharp knife in the other.
Her face went pale, and she trembled all over.
She stammered, “Ddon’t do anything stupid!”
He used the knife to point at the phone in her hand. “Answer it.”
