Chapter 215
Dylan’s eyes flashed with a dangerous allure as he looked at Yvonne. When she said that, he let out a cold laugh, as if she’d just said something utterly ridiculous.
“Yvonne, Stella is a family. She’s my child’s mother. If the mother isn’t fit to raise her own kid, then who is? You?” Dylan’s voice boomed with fury.
Yvonne froze, shocked by Dylan’s outburst. This was only the second time Dylan had ever lost his temper with her.
Her eyes reddened with hurt. Dylan almost never yelled at her. This was all because of that woman, Stella.
“Dylan, this is the second time you’ve snapped at me because of her. Stella’s got nothing, no family, no influence. How could she ever take care of a kid?” Yvonne’s voice trembled with hurt.
She added, “I’m just scared my little nephew will get pushed around out there. Seriously, what kind of future could he have with her? Only with the Ashford family can he really thrive.”
Back then, Stella was in so much pain because of her child that it nearly broke her. As long as she didn’t have her kid, she would be suffering for the rest of her life.
Serena stood up, her eyes cold as she stared at Yvonne. “Yvonne, I’ll take care of my own child. If you still can’t watch your mouth and want to end up back in the hospital, I can make that happen right now.”
Yvonne froze, a sharp sting flaring across her cheek.
She instinctively stepped back, a flash of fear mixed with hatred in her eyes as she glared at Serena.
“Stella, just try laying a finger on me again!” Yvonne snapped. If that woman dared to mess with her, Yvonne would make sure Stella regretted it.
“What, you’re going to get a bunch of people to humiliate me again, just like last year? Want to take revenge, bully me, and push me around?” Serena shot back.”
Serena looked at her with a mocking smile. “Yvonne, I know exactly why you’re so desperate to see me dead. That secret is just between you and me. But do you really think a secret like that can stay hidden forever?
“Maybe in your eyes, only the dead can keep secrets, Serena sneered, ‘but in my eyes, you’re so disgusting it makes me want to puke. Your Ashford family? Other than your grandparents, the rest of you are all trash. Get lost!”
Serena was pissed. She couldn’t even get through a meal without them barging in and ruining everything.
She was grateful she could take a loss, no matter when it happened.
‘Love’s gone? So what,‘ she wondered. At least she’d loved fiercely in her youth. But that was never going to define her whole
life.
‘Fairness? That’s just a myth, she thought. ‘Nothing in this world is truly fair.’
From the moment she was abandoned, Edwin scooped her up and showered her with all the love she could ever dream of. Honestly, she was the luckiest abandoned kid alive.
Growing up, she figured it out. If something wasn’t hers, no amount of chasing would make it hers.
Dylan frowned, wondering what kind of trouble Yvonne had gotten herself into this time.

Chapter 215
“Stella, do you still have any evidence about what happened back then? If you do, you should report it is the perfo can’t just let them walk all over you, Dylan said, honestly having no clue what had really gone on
But Yvonne had done way more messed–up things than just this.
Serena’s eyes were icy cold. “Dylan, I can let the past slide, but when it comes to the future. Fll make sure it back overs that’s owed to me.”
Seeing the hatred in her eyes, Dylan finally realized he was the one who’d hurt her the most all these years
Yvonne totally lost her cool when Serena brought up the past. ‘Stella, you were the shameless one back then. How’s that y fault?” Yvonne snapped.
“Yvonne, if you don’t want Dylan finding out what really happened back then, and you don’t want me coming after you for it, then don’t cross me,” Serena cut her off, her voice cold and unyielding.
Serena’s chill wasn’t just skin–deep. It seemed to slice right through, straight into Yvonne’s soul.
Yvonne had never seen Serena like this before. That icy look in her eyes genuinely startled her.
But Serena didn’t want to argue anymore. She turned to Spencer with an apologetic look. “Spencer, looks like we’ll have to change dinner plans tonight. Let’s go eat somewhere else, okay?”
