Chapter 223
Flena had ralled Dylan again, but she’d underestimated just how ruthless he could be. No matter how many times she tried, be just refused to pick up.
Her face twisted with hatred. “Dylan, is this how you’re going to bully me?” she snapped.
She let out a cold laugh as she was driven farther and farther from downtown, her heart pounding uncontrollably in her
chest.
“Dylan, you’ll come back to me soon enough,” she muttered under her breath.
Eliana had completely lost her mind.
She would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.
At that moment, her heart raced with feverish anticipation, her eyes bloodshot, her expression almost animalistic.
All she could think about was how sweet and gentle Dylan had been with her.
He always spoiled her, buying her anything she asked for, unlike Tyler, who was constantly nervous and second–guessing himself.
Even when it came to buying her a sixty–thousand–dollar bag, he would still hesitate.
But Dylan was different. If she wanted something, he’d just get it for her, no questions asked.
Men like him were one of a kind in the entire world, and that man was Dylan.
Dylan sat cold and distant in the back seat, moonlight flickering across his sharply defined features. Even in the shifting light, it was obvious that he was deep in thought.
His phone kept buzzing, but he did not even bother to look at it.
He just stared out the window, his deep eyes fixed on the night outside.
His home was never a happy one, and now it was in ruins.
She wasn’t even his real sister. His mom had an affair, and his dad was just… gone.
The woman he loved turned out to be heartless and cruel.
He’d broken his ex–wife’s heart over and over, and now his own son refused to even call him “Dad.”
There was an icy, menacing look in Dylan’s eyes. He’d always been cool and untamed, but right now, he was even more icy
than usual.
Miles had no idea what Dylan had just been through.
The air in the car felt so heavy and oppressive that it was almost hard to breathe.
Before Miles could say a single word, the car was violently rear–ended.
He tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

Chapter 228
Miles stayed calm, his eyes locked on the rearview mirror as the car behind them rise to work at the baford that car is coming after us on purpose Hold on tight he dhunned.
Before he could even finish, another violent crash hit them
This time, the car was sent careening off the road, smashing straight into the gverdrat
“Bang!” The explosive crash tore through the quiet night, shattering its pesce
The brutal crash of metal echoed across the night sky, rumbling like thunder
Eliana, following behind, was shocked when she saw Dylan’s car get rammed of the road.
What the hell are those idiots doing? she fumed. I told them to just cut him off and teach him a lesson, so I could play the hero and rescue him/
‘So what the hell is happening now?
She hurriedly pulled over to the side of the road.
She watched as five or six men jumped out of the car up ahead, rushed over, yanked open the back door, and hauled the dazed Dylan out.
Eliana’s lips started trembling as she took in the scene, panic rising in her chest. Without thinking, she grabbed her phone and dialed Jasper.
“Dad, how many guys did you send?” she blurted out, her voice full of anxiety.
Jasper let out a cold laugh. “Eliana, you’re way too slow. When are you ever going to save the Lambert family? Why not just make Dylan disappear for good? With my grandson involved, the Ashford family will be ours before you know it”
Eliana froze, completely shocked. “Dad, have you lost it? You really think you can just take over the entire Ashford family?”
I always thought I was the crazy one, Eliana thought, but Jasper is even more ruthless than I am
“Eliana, stop worrying about how I do things. Get out now and play the hero for Dylan. I’ve got everything covered. If he somehow slips away, you’ll still get to stick by his side,” Jasper said, his voice cold and ruthless.
Eliana’s hand trembled as she clutched her phone, barely able to keep it steady. Jasper has completely lost it, she thought, panic surging through her.
‘Is he seriously trying to take over the entire Ashford family? That’s insane.
“Dad, Dylan’s got businesses everywhere. There’s no way you can just take over everything. You’re just signing your own, death warrant,” Eliana said, her voice trembling. ‘Dylan isn’t someone you can afford to provoke, she thought, her heart racing.
‘How could Jasper even think he could pull this off?‘ Eliana thought, completely stunned.
Eliana watched as the guys up ahead started beating Dylan down.
Miles just sat there in the car, not even bothering to get out.
Dylan fought back for a time, but he was eventually struck down, unable to keep his footing. He collapsed onto the ground. bruised and helpless.
