Dylan had already overheard their conversation. His eyes were red with rage and grief, and tears glistened in them.
Staring at the two vicious women in front of him, he could barely hold back the urge to tear them apart.
Everyone encountered inevitable malice and harm on the road to growing up.
But he never dreamed that this malice and harm would come from his own mother.
“Dylan, you…” Beatrice stammered.
“So you’ve been scheming against me since high school?” Dylan cut her off, his voice shaking with rage.
It hit her like a thunderbolt.
Beatrice’s eyes went wide with terror, her whole body frozen in shock.
‘Did he… did he hear everything?‘ Beatrice thought.
Dylan stormed in, a deadly aura hanging over him, like he was ready to tear someone apart.
He was usually the picture of self–control, but this time, he couldn’t hold himself back any longer.
He snatched up a blue–and–white porcelain vase and smashed it to the ground, his rage blazing inside him, almost out of control.
The vase exploded with a thunderous crash, echoing through the room like a sudden roll of thunder.
Both women shrieked, startled out of their wits.
Eliana clutched her head, staring at Dylan in terror. The furious Dylan was terrifying, but also chillingly rational.
Dylan’s eyes, usually so charming, were now twisted with malice and violence.
He was tormented by pain and regret, cursing himself for not seeing the truth sooner.
His foolishness had shattered his family–his father vanished, his home in ruins.
He’d put Stella through hell, and now even his own kid refused to call him father.
Dylan felt like his whole life had been one big failure.
All of this–every single disaster–had been orchestrated by his own mother.
And the angel in his heart, Eliana, had been nothing but a lie from the very beginning
She hadn’t left because of her health.
She’d really run off with another man and even had a daughter with him.
Stella had warned him more than once, but he just brushed it off, thinking she was only jealous of Eliana.

He’d even sneered at her, “Stella, seriously, what’s the point? What do you get from badmouthing Eliana?”
All his wishful thinking came crashing down in that moment.

‘Mom, why? Why would you do this to me? That woman is poison! Just because you liked her, you tried to force her into my ife as your perfect daughter–in–law?
I trusted you! And I ended up hurting the only woman who ever really had my back!
Do you even get what you did to me? You made me a laughingstock and a complete idiot! And in your perfect little setup, I urned into the biggest asshole ever!” Dylan said.
Every word hit like a punch to the gut–Dylan was drowning in pain and regret.
t wasn’t until today that he realized his mother was a cold–blooded woman, someone without a shred of a soul.
A wave of numb, paralyzing pain crashed over him, and all he could think was how terrifying it all was.
The mother he’d always respected had betrayed him, stabbing him right in the back.
Beatrice didn’t dare say a word. Right now, Dylan was chillingly rational–his calm was even scarier than his rage.
she lowered her head, putting on a show of remorse. “Dylan, I’m sorry.”
But it was all too late.
