When Serena came home, Vivian dropped by to see her.

“Serena, you’re back!” Vivian called out with a big smile, rushing, over and hooking her arm through Serena’s.

“Yeah! Haven’t you been crazy busy these days? Serena asked with a grin, putting her stuff down on the floor

Vivian glanced at Serena and said, “No matter how busy I am, I still have to come see Liam.

“Serena, my dad’s throwing a party tomorrow night. You should come too. Don’t worry, your identity won’t be exposed.”

Serena nodded. “Sure! I haven’t seen Mr. Quinn in ages. This is the perfect chance to catch up”

“Alright then, it’s a business party. Dylan will be there too, but chances are you won’t even see him,” Vivian added, not wanting, Serena to feel awkward if Dylan showed up.

Serena caught the concern in Vivian’s eyes. “Relax, him and me? We’re done. Whatever he does now is none of my business. And now that I’ve got my kid back, I’m really over him.”

She knew how to let go when she had to. Sure, it still stings sometimes, but that old love? It’s gone for good, she wondered.
