From Divorced Wife To The Top Heiress novel Chapter 368

Serena suddenly realized she hadn’t seen Dylan for almost two months. After more than two months of taking care of himself, he looked so much better. His face emitted a natural glow.

She’d been crazy busy with work these past few months, but the profits this season left her more than satisfied.

Everything was unfolding just as she’d planned.

Except for the man right in front of her. Since their divorce, Dylan had never factored into her plans again.

She was used to having everything under control, but from now on, he was simply out of her world.

Dylan stood there, holding a black umbrella, his gaze intense as he looked at her.

Serena had been so busy in the past two months that he barely got to see her. Even Spencer hadn’t seen her lately.

About half a month ago, Dylan had gone out for drinks with Spencer, mentioning that Serena was always swamped. No matter how many times he tried to meet up with her, she just never had the time.

But Dylan was honestly jealous of Spencer. At least Serena would answer his calls. Every day, they’d have a quick chat about work.

Meanwhile, he was still blocked by Serena.

But just now, Dylan saw the amazement and that unforgettable, deep love in Serena’s eyes. It was as if she was looking right through him, seeing the Dylan from when he was nineteen.

This moment reminded Serena of the first time they met.

And Dylan had been thinking about that, too.

Back then, a disheveled young girl leaned nervously against the wall, her big, beautiful eyes gazing at him, lost and clueless.

Stella, waiting for the bus?Dylan asked with a smile. His husky alluring voice broke through the rain, making her blush and her heart skip a beat.

Serena quietly nodded. Mmhmm.

Just then, a middleaged woman rushed out of the rain and ducked under the mall entrance for shelter.

Oh my! What a downpour! The ground was slick. As she slipped. Serena hurried over to help steady her.

The woman managed to keep her balance, but Serena lost her balance. The icy rain made the ground dangerously slippery.

That woman let out a startled cry. As Serena was about to fall. Dylan grabbed her, keeping her from falling.

Serena crashed right into Dylan’s arms, the familiar scent enveloping her instantly. She froze, her whole body tense.

Both of them could hear each other’s heartbeat.

Dylan held her slender body close, her scent filling the air around him.

It hit Dylan then. He finally realized how much he’d been missing her.

He felt like he was going crazy. Every night, he’d pore over those letters, lying in the room that used to be theirs, and only then could he manage to fall asleep.

Chapter 368

O

Stella, careful.” Dylan’s soft but clear voice sounded right next to her ear.

Serena jerked herself out of his embrace. She lowered her gaze, without saying a word.

Luckily, her phone rang, and she took it out to answer.

Lyra, where are you?Serena asked.

Lyra sounded anxious. Serena, the bridge is flooded, and I’m stuck in traffic. There’s an accident up ahead, so I can’t get through. I have no idea how long this will last.

Serena looked at the heavy rain, realizing it wasn’t going to stop anytime soon.
