Lucas listened in silence, his hands clenched into tight fists.

“Oh, really?” Riley stood up slowly, looking down at her with one eyebrow raised, her gaze full of knowing mockery, “Then we’ll just have to wait and see.”

With that, she turned and walked away without looking back.

“Riley!” Lucas instinctively moved to go after her.

“Hey, Lucas, don’t run off!” Terrence grabbed his arm, clearly annoyed. “Let her go. What’s there to chase? Come on–play a few rounds with me. We can talk about that project between our companies.”
