We arrived at the Moonvale Club twenty minutes later. The place was a masterpiece of architecture and nature, sprawling across hundreds of acres. The grass was a vibrant emerald green, and the air smelled of expensive hay and leather. This was a place for the elite, for the Alphas and high–ranking members of the werewolf society who had billions to spend on their hobbies.

The manager, Owen, saw my car and practically tripped over his feet to greet me.

“My Queen, it’s an absolute honor to have you here today.”

“Owen,” I acknowledged with a sharp and formal nod. “We want to ride.”

“Of course!” he said happily. “We just brought in a new lithium horse, Moonpaw. She’s a purebred with a coat like silk, but I must warn you, she has a fiery temper. She’s quite the handful.” Owen said, looking at Olivia.

Olivia’s eyes sparkled. I could tell she enjoyed the whole thing. She mentioned that she had never been in a place like this. “So, how do you like this place?” I asked her, trying to be involved in everything, to find out how she felt about the place.

“I love it, and I can’t wait to see Moonpaw,” she said excitedly.

I turned to Owen with a smile. “And what do you have for me?” I asked him.

“For you, my Queen, we have Simba. An Akhal–Teke stallion. He’s as black as the midnight sky and just as fast. He doesn’t let just anyone ride him. He’s one of the picky horses we have here at Moonvale,” he said with a proud smile on his face.

“Perfect,” I said. My wolf squeaked and I. Could tell she liked the sound of having a wolf like that.

We went to the changing rooms, and I pulled on my riding gear–a tailored, midnight–blue outfit that fit me like a second skin. It highlighted my pronounced curves, and the stand–up collar gave me a regal, untouchable look. I tied my hair into a high, sleek ponytail, making my cheekbones look even sharper.

When I stepped out, Olivia was already done dressing. She looked charming in her dress, but she stopped dead when she saw me.

“Wow,” she breathed. “Eloise, you look so incredible. If the King saw you like this, he would probably fall to his knees. You look like a true Queen, and those curves…” she whistled, and I could only laugh.

“Stop it, Liv,” I said.

“Im serious, Eloise. Your curves are crazy. I wish I had them,” she said with a pout.

“Oh? Are you sure about that? I’m on the bigger side, I hope you know that.” I told her, and she nodded.

“Yes, I know. But it looks good to me, your body is bang,” she continued.

“Liv, thank you. But I’m sure no man is interested in my body build.” I said as we walked away from the dressing room.

“Are you sure about that? Why don’t you look around?” she said, and I did as she said.

And to my surprise, I saw most of the men around us staring. I wasn’t exactly surprised, because I got attention like this anytime! wore fitted clothes, but most of the time it was bad, as I always heard whispers about how big I was. But it felt different this time

As we walked to the arena, my nose twitched, and I caught a scent that made my blood boil. It was a mix of expensive cologne and that sickeningly sweet floral scent that belonged to only one person.

I looked toward the VIP section, and my heart didn’t stop at the sight like it used to; it only grew colder toward the people I saw.

There they were, the Lockwood brothers–Antoine and Julian–were standing there, looking like they had been dragged through a hedge backward. And in the middle of them was Summer, she was dressed in white, looking pale, and her face was still showing the bruises given to her by the men she paid to ruin me.
