Thave waited for today to come. The past two days went by so quickly, and I loved every minute of it. When I got back from the dinner with my family and toldDamon what was said, he smirked and told them to bring it on. The whole meeting is going to happen in the palace, in our living room, and Damon has just been smiling about it:

“Gooc, bring them in,” I said.

Damon specifically told the head maid that I should handle all the house affairs. As with the visitors we have and the people we see, any changes that need to be made in the house. I low–key liked it, but he didn’t need to know that. The maid signaled to another maid who was stationed by the door. Telling them to bring in the visitors.

A few seconds later, before they entered, Damon stood up and stalked toward me. “What are you doing?” I asked in panic.

“Sitting beside my wife,” he said, and he didn’t stop there. He took my hand and placed it on his lap.

My grandfather, father, mother, and siblings were all present, including Summer. I wonder why they all had to come on the troops.

“I know you’re planning on sitting down without respecting my wife and I, in our palace,” Damon said coldly.

I saw the anger pass through grandfather’s eyes, but I also saw the fear and trepidation in all their faces before they bowed and greeted.

“Good afternoon, my King.” They all greeted, and when they were about to sit down, Damon looked at me with a smile.

“It seems your family members are deaf, baby.” He said with a half–smile. “Because I just told them to greet you, but it seems they didn’t hear. Do I need to do some damage control?” He asked, his eyes glowing gold already.

“G–Good afternoon, my Queen.” Grandfather stammered, and then the rest of them followed.

“Good. Now you can have your seat.” He told them, and they scrambled around to sit.

After they were settled in, probably like a minute after, they didn’t say anything.

“I hear that you have something to tell me,” Damon said, pulling me closer to him as if for emphasis. For selfish reasons, I snuggled into him, and his cologne wafted into my nostrils; he smelled so fucking good.

And guess what, it turned me on. I felt wetness drip out, but I dug my fingers into my palm to focus.

“Yes, I wanted to discuss your marriage with my granddaughter.” He said, trying to look intimidating by sitting up and looking into the eyes of Damon, who was covered by his shades.

“I’m sure you’re not about to talk about how you subjected my wife to go on a date with another man? Come, do you want to die?” Damon asked casually, as if they were talking about the weather of the day.

“What do you see in her?” Grandfather continued. “Can’t you just divorce her and then marry Summer?”

My blood froze. What? I looked up immediately.

“Baby come on. Let him finish.” Damon interrupted and then kissed my forehead.

I kept quiet and watched my grandfather’s eyes light up.

“Thank you for putting her in her place. So, I was saying that you should divorce this fat bag of potatoes. Does she not disgust you?” He asked.

So this was what this is? Did he want to embarrass me in his presence? He only said he wanted to come and talk about my divorce, so he wanted me to be useless?

“Summer can please you in several ways, plus she’s well–versed in different things, unlike Eloise here.”

“Really? That’s wild. I’ll ask you two questions now. Can she treat me?” He asked.
