ELOISE.
Zara set her glass down slowly, her eyes sharpening with interest as she leaned forward. There was something about the way Eloise spoke calmlythat always meant she was already ten steps ahead of everyone else.
“Wait,” Zara said, a small, disbelieving laugh escaping her. “You’re not just starting something new… you’re planning to pull talent out from under your brothers‘ territory?”
Eloise didn’t even hesitate. She simply tilted her head, afaint smile touching her lips–one that didn’t quite reach her eyes.
“Not pull,” she said softly. “Rescue.”
Zara exhaled through her nose, shaking her head. “That pack‘ system is worse than I remember, then.”
“It is.” Eloise replied, her tone turning colder. “Julian and Antoine only see one person–Summer. Everyone else exists to support her… or disappear quietly.”
Zara tlidn’t interrup this time. She knew that tone. Eloise wasn’t guessing–she knew exactly what she was talking about.
“Unless you’re useful to Summer,” Eloise continued, her fingers tracing the rim of her cup absentmindedly, “or you spend you life flattering them, you’re invisible. And even if you are talented… it doesn’t matter. They’ll still bury you if you don’t fit her image.”
Zara’s expression hardened. “That hasn’t changed.”
Eloise let out a quiet breath. “The worst part is that they do have powerf people under them. Wolves with real gifts. The kind that could strengthen an entire pack.”
She paused briefly, her gaze distant for a second before returning tZara.
“But instead of nurturing them, they use them. Drain them. Break them.”
Zara leaned back, folding her arms as she studied her friend. “So this isn’t just about business for you.”
Eloise smiled slightly. “It never is.”
There was a short silence between them before Zara spoke again, curiosity creeping back into her tone.
“Alright then,” she said. “Whoare you thinking of taking?”
Eloise didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she reached for her phone, tapping lightly before turning the screen toward Zara.
“I already have three names.”
Zara leaned forward again and the moment she saw them, her entire expression shifted.
“…You’re actually serious.”
Eloise’s gaze didn’t waver “Very.”
“Begire i do anything, i need ti get Maxwell away for them. He’s Summer personal assistant, He is a mad man, and he thinks on his feet quickly, and i think he’s good too. He’s just manipulated into being an idiot.” Eloise said.

“Hmmm, i know right, Maxwell used to be such a Joy and now he barely smiles. You’re planning on bring in him to the company?”
Zara asked.
“Yup, I am.”
Zara let out a low breath, running a hand through her hair. “You picked the most difficult ones.”
“Or the most valuable,” Eloise corrected calmly.
Zara gave a small, humorless laugh. “Fair.”
Her eyes lingered on the first name.
Kieran Vale.
A flicker of recognitiocrossed her face. “I remember him,” she said. “He’s not just a writer–he’s a mood weaver.”
Eloise nodded once.
Kieran wasn’t like ordinary storytellers. His scripts didn’t just tell stories–they carried emotional resonance that could influence wolves on a deeper level. His words could stir loyalty, awaken pride, even strengthen pack bonds during ceremonies.
“He wrote a war–chant script once,” Zara continued quietly. “I read it during a trial performance. It made half the room shift without meaning to.”
“And Summer rejected it,” Eloise said flatly.
Zara scoffed. “Of course she did.”
“She said it was too heavy. Not appealing enough. Not… pretty.”
Zara rolled her eyes. “So instead, they forced him into writing shallow romance pieces that meant nothing.”
Eloise’s expression darkened slightly. “And when those failed, they blamed him.”
Zara shook her head slowly. “That’s… cruel.”
“It’s wasteful,” Eloise corrected. “And I don’t like waste.”
Zara’s gaze shifted to the second name.
Riven Cole.
Her brows lifted slightly. “Now this one… this one hurts.”
Eloise didn’t respond, letting her speak.
“Riven’s designs aren’t just clothes,” Zara said, her voice softening with respect. “They’re enchantments. The fabrics heworks with -moon–thread, spirit silk… they react to energy. They amplify presence.”
She looked up at Eloise. “Do you know he once designed a ceremonialcloak that calmed an entire pack during a territorial dispute?”
“I know.” Eloise said.

“And Antoine still sidelined him?” Zara asked, disbelief clear in her tone.
Eloise’s lips curved slightly, but there was no humor in it. “Antoine doesn’t like beingovershadowed.”
Zara let out a quiet, knowing hum. “So instead of elevating Riven, he clipped his wings.”
“And let Summer tear apart his work whenever she felt like it,” Eloise added.
Zara shook her head again. “That manshould’ve left years ago.”
“He couldn’t,” Eloise said simply. “The contract binds him.”
Zara’s jaw tightened. “Of course it does.”
Her gaze slowly moved to the third name.
And this time… she went completely still.
“…Lyra.”
Eloise watched her carefully.
Zara swallowed slightly before speaking again, her voice quieter now.
“I always wondered what happened to her.”
Lyra Dusk,
A name that should have been known across every pack by now.
Instead, it barely existed.
“She has one of the rarest gifts I’ve ever seen,” Zara continued, almost to herself. “Her voice… it doesn’t just sound beautiful. It affectswolves. When she sings, it stabilizes emotions. It soothes aggression. It can even ease partial transformations.”
Eloise nodded once.
“She was never meant to stand in the shadows,” Zara said.
“But that’s exactly where they put her,” Eloise replied.
Zara looked up sharply. “She’s still doing it?”
Eloise’s silence wasanswer enoug
Zara’s expression darkened completely now.
“They’re still using her voice for Summer?”
“Yes.”
