Chapter 226 Why Did He Leave Me?

I was still in awe. I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know how to react, I just knew that everybody else in the room with me was smiling and talking about how much they loved what Damom just did, but I was staring at the door, waiting for him to come in, but he still hasn’t shown up.

“I didn’t know your husband was this unhinged.” Aunt Laura said,

“You don’t even know the beginning of it, Aunt. That man will do anything for my friend.” Lex said, and I rolled my eyes.

“He doesn’t look as dangerous as he actually is, with those glasses that he always has on.” Aunt Laura said.

“Im just so happy that he made sure to defend Eloise publicly the way the bastard tried to humiliate her publicly. I love this so much, hey, cuz, is your husband single?” Olivia asked, and everybody in the room laughed, including me.

“No, my husband is very happily married to me,” I said, and they all laughed harder.

“I like the whole thing going on here,” Zara said.

“Since Summer is still on the stage, don’t you think it’s the perfect time to release it?” Lex asked, and I nodded. Just as I was about to pick up my phone to call Tyler, it rang, and my heart leapt, thinking it could be Damon, but I was so disappointed when I realised it wasn’t.

It was Tyler. I picked it up and placed the phone to my ear. “My Queen, should I drop it now?” he asked.

“Yes, drop it now,” I said, trying not to let I disappointment show.

I dropped the call. “He’s going to drop it now?” Lex asked, and I nodded.

“Yeah, it’s the perfect moment,” I replied, and we all turned to the large screen in the room. The next thing we knew, the screens of the arena were filled with videos of Summer in the underground, selling these fake bags. The crowd started gasping.

Tyler played a video in which Summer was conversing with her producer.

“Yes, of course, the idiots are at it up as usual. They like the collection so much. It sold out. Get me the usual for the next event. Make the tailors get the details of the real bags on the fake ones. Don’t make any mistakes,” she said, and the crowd gasped louder.

I watched as Summer turned around to look at the screen, and her eyes widened. Then documents kd the fake bags and the paper trail of the money she collected, which was shown on the screen, and people brought out their phones to make videos and probably to be able ti zoom in and see the details properly.

After a few seconds of the release, the crowd started going crazy and throwing bottles at the stage at Summer. She stood there like a statue, not moving, her eyes glued on the screen.

“That serves you right, bitch.” Lex said.

“With this evidence, I think the police should be involved. It won’t go away easily.” Aunt Laura said.

“I didn’t even think of the police when I was compiling this. I didn’t want my brothers blinded by her again. But I have a feating that she will come out of this, unscathed again.” I said.

By the time I looked at the stage again, police officers were already there, reading Summer her rights and then cuffing her hands in front of her. Then they dragged her away.

“Im worried because the Lockwoods have the police in their pocket,” I said.

“That also makes sense, but let’s not worry about that for now. You deserve ti go and rest. You’ve had a long day and long night” Lex said.

“Yeah, I should.”

“Should I drive you home?” Lex asked.

“Dont worry, preggy. You should also rest. I don’t want anything happening to my Goddaughter.” I said, and everybody in the room gasped.

“Oh my days, you’re pregnant?” Olivia shrieked and stood up.

Lex covered her face with her hands, blushing.

“Yes, yes. I am. I was going to tell you guys after the show, but with everything that happened, I just figured to wait till another time. But my dear friend here decided to help me say it.” she said.

“You didn’t say you didn’t want anybody to know,” I said, and we laughed.

Olivia hugged Lex, and everybody said their congratulations. “I call dibs on being her aunt,” Olivia said, and I rolled my eyes.

“You’re late,” I said.

“But you already took the Godmother positions,” she pouted.

“My lovely Olivia. I’m going to be everything to the baby, her Godmother, her aunt and every other thing. Of course, you can be the second aunt, but I’m the first.” I said, and we laughed.

“Im happy for you, dear. Welcome to motherhood.” Aunt Laura said.

“Thank you, Aunt,” she said, and we all chattered about pregnancy. Everybody had different things to say, and while that was ongoing, my mind couldn’t help but go back to Damon. Where was he? And why didn’t he come back? I told him I needed him, and je said he would be back. Why did he leave me here?
