“They are trying to clap back at us by approaching all the investors that have promised to put money in the business,” Zara told me, reading something on her tablet.

I smiled slowly. “And how is that going for them?” I asked her.

“Awful. I talked to the woman representing all of them and she told me that they are doing a pretty bad job. Julian was in one of the meetings and allegedly, he went off on one of the investors. Threatening to ruin them here.” Zara said.

“Ohhh, such a brute. You’d think Antoine had learnt his lessons from bringing Julian to meetings like this, but I guess he wants to keep failing.” I said and I saw a bit of a shudder from Zara at the mention of Antoine and I sighed.

“Come and sit down here my love, let’s talk,” I told her and she nodded and sat down.

“I know I know. I’m trying not to be bothered but I can’t help it,” she said.

“Its been two weeks, Zara. Two good weeks, we have an event coming up and I can’t have you not prepared. Would you like to go fuck it out? I mean you should probably meet him and have sex again.” I said that because I literally didn’t know what to say again and I didn’t want her to feel like I was antagonizing her which I was really not.

She was my friend and I understood these things, even before I knew that Damon and I were mates, it was hard to resist him, I literally wanted to be around him all the fucking time. Now that I know that he’s my mate. It had gotten worse, from wanting to be around him constantly to getting mad if he wasn’t giving me the normal attention that I needed.

If that man doesn’t pick up my calls, which he always does, I will have a field day and the fact that I have the brain of another person which was my wolf in my head didn’t make it easier. So I understood totally, the struggle was real as fuck.

“I’m trying to see how long I can go without talking to him. He has been blowing up my phone, I’m telling you, and each day, he does this without rest. I’ve blocked multiple numbers, but it’s gotten worse and I feel my resolve breaking. I swear, I don’t think I can hold on much longer.” she said, her voice breaking at the end.

“I really don’t know why the Moon Goddess would decide to punish me with a situation like this, I’m such a lover girl.” she sighed.

“Zara, don’t hold yourself back. We agreed that night that you should do anything that would make you comfortable. Do you get? You can’t disturb yourself and your wolf because you’re thinking of things that will happen in the future. Just live in the moment and enjoy yourself, try to. And you know that we will be seeing a lot of him in the coming days. I don’t want things getting weird in that aspect with y’all.” I told her.

She thought about it for a while. “It would really be weird if we were being silent around each other in a weird way, but I feel like he won’t leave me alone when he sees me,” she said.

“But the more the drama, the better he is. Let him do whatever, what matters is that you should do what’s best for yourself and not for him. Take it at your pace and not his, and that’s on period.”

“Thanks girl, you don’t know what you do for me by saying all these things. These things mean so much to me and I appreciate them, and I’ll stop being an idiot now, I don’t like that the matter keeps dragging, so I’ll come to my senses as soon as possible.”

“Come on, you’re not an idiot,” I told her and she smiled and nodded.

“Thank you,” she said.

“Thats a good plan, I’ve also involved the other people. You know, the event planners and the chefs who would be cooking.”

“Make sure to get the best of the best for this event, because everything down to the tablecloths has to be chosen intentionally. Not to impress the Lockwoods of course but for our new shareholders in the country.” I told her.

“I know that. The only part that needs to be taken care of is what the King promised to do,” she said.
