We headed into the building and I handled everything I needed to. It took me about an hour and Alexis was just at the bar, requesting every sweet thing that they had on their menu. By the time everything was done and they had concluded the meeting. the ball would be held unfailingly as nothing was hindering the arrangements we had made.

Glad that I had to go home to be with my husband. I dropped Alexis off at her house where her husband came to pick her up. And I headed home.

After I got home, I immediately went up to our room and before I got there, I could smell the wonderful goodness that Damon was making. Goddess bless this man. He’still hasn’t stopped cooking for me regardless of everything and I was grateful for it.

“Smelis nice in here,” I said as I entered the kitchen. I went to hug him from the back, as he was chopping some vegetables.

“My King,” I murmured, but he heard me. He liked it whenever I did that, calling him my king, it gave him some type of edge and i also liked calling him my king. I liked the way it made him feel.

He dropped what he was doing and turned around in my hands. “Hey hey hey. You sound tired,” he said hugging me all to himself. He kissed my hair and I burrowed into his hug. I liked our hugs, they made me feel like a baby and that’s the feeling I’m trying to have for the rest of my life.

You know having a stressful day and then coming back home to my husband.

“Yes, my King. I had a stressful day, but it’s all fine now.” I told him,

“I missed you,” he said and held me tighter, as if he could go any tighter.

“Same here.”

“How about you go take a shower and I’ll have the table set before you come back down,” he said snd I mumbled and stomped my legs tiredly on the floor.

“I’m too tired to take my bath,” I mumbled into his shirt.

“Oh yeah? You want me to bathe for you?” he asked with a smile in his tone and I nodded without answering him.

“You lazy woman. The food will get cold before we get back,” he said and I shrugged.

“We will find a way around it,” I said, trying to sound as convincing as I could, although I sounded tired.

To think that I was not like this when I was outside just now, I was strong and not tired but the moment I saw him, all the tiredness from when I left his arms this morning befell me and I had to just get him to do these things for me.

“More like I’ll find my way around it cause you’d just sit pretty while I do it,” he said.

“But that’s a lie. Sitting pretty is part of helping you, I’m feeding your eyes, and that’s enough work.” I said and he laughed, and ! immediately looked up, not wanting to miss his face.

He also stripped and then held my hand, and we both entered the big bathroom. I watched as he laid a towel on the counter and then carried me flush naked against him and put me on the counter. He then went into the jacuzzi to run a bath for me.

I watched as he felt the temperature of the water and applied the scented candles that I like. When he was sure that everything was set, he came to carry me and didn’t drop me all the way till we reached inside the tub.

He dropped me gently against his body and then took the sponge and applied my body wash, then started doing his thing.

“Tell me about your day,” he said and I started thinking about it.

“My day? It was pretty eventful. Alexis and I were together throughout the day and she kept splurging on sweet things. And then i went to check the final touching on the ball tomorrow, to make sure everything is set and they are actually set. All we need is to see the attendance of the people we invited.”

I couldn’t wait to get tomorrow’s ball over with. So that the Lockwood would understand the change of power properly. I didn’t come to play at all.
