What do you do when you’re blessed with a fine ass woman? My marriage has been in a perfect fucking place and I didn’t want to ever leave here. I wanted to always be here with my woman.

But we needed to get business done and to make people know and understand that they couldn’t mess with us. I wanted to lock us in tonight. She looked so amazing in that dress that it got me going crazy.

We got to the ball ten minutes ago and as usual, we had the dramatic entrance that happens each tires. Everybody bows and then comes up to make conversation. Eloise has been pulled away by Alexis and the rest of the women to talk and I’m left here with Seb.

Both of us were looking at our women like something wanted to jump out of anywhere and attack. We had to be prepared but I was also looking at her because I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She was just so fucking pretty. She looked extraordinary and I knew that all eyes were on her, but that’s why I was here, any crazy looking eye that looked at her would pop out of its socket by me.

I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and I’m glad all of you know that.

The Lockwoods were already at the party which meant the takeover would happen anytime soon. But I was glad to keep on watching my wife till it happened.

I felt a presence in the room. A presence that felt weird. I looked at Sebastian who was also looking around.

He felt it.

“What was that?” Seb asked.

“Fucker.” I said. It was only one person who had this presence and scent. And the only fucker that would dare to have a gathering like this without an invitation.

“Hades,” Seb said, putting the pieces together.

The idiot has not been seen or heard from in over a hundred years, what was he doing here now? What did he want?

Now, you guys might be curious as to who Hades was, he’s a vampire.

And you guys might also be shocked as to how I knew it. There was a cold shrill that just went through the room, and if you guys could see us, which is unfortunate that you can’t, you’d see that everybody was rubbing their skin now. They were cold.

Yeah, that’s because he’s a vampire and not just any type of vampire, but the King of vampires just like I was the King of the wolves.

I knew he was walking towards me. Now another thing that you guys might be curious about is that, you’d probably think we are enemies. But we actually are not enemies. Hades and I came to an agreement years ago, nobody would disturb each other from their territory to mine or likewise and we have kept this pact for years.

We weren’t necessarily friends, no. We were acquaintances, we didn’t fight if we saw each other and could make conversation, so we were decent. But the question now is, what did he want and what was he doing here?

I sighed as he appeared in front of me. Looking as pale as any vampire could look. Attention for people was on us now, they could smell him, they knew he wasn’t one of us and he was also smart enough not to bring anybody. He was alone.

Chapter 332 Hades

He was in a suit which was different from what is as him in last. He always had this regalia on that symbolized blood. Wien, that was hundreds of years ago anyway

He was the original Hades. I mean, there was a time that I was called the Hades of the underground which is because of how dangerous I am. But the original and unhinged Hades is right here.

“Damon.” he greeted, tilting his head slightly. A sign of respect.

“Hades.” I greeted and did the same thing. We shook each other and the wolves in the room took that as a sign to relax.

Conversations resumed as usual, although I felt my wife looking at me with a worried gaze so looked straight at her and nodded at her, telling her not to worry. After a glance, she looked away.

“To what do I owe the pleasure of my Kingdom? And you look odd, what have you done with your regalia?” I acked.

He looked beside me to see Seb.

“Sebastian, the great Alpha that has been able to stick with this stubborn one.” he greeted and offered his hand to Seb which he took.

“Nice to meet you Hades.” he greeted.

“Now to your question, I’m here because my mate is here,” he said simply and I looked around, and then back at him.

What does this mean? Was a vampire here?

“Is a vampire in my territory, Hades?” I asked him.

“I’ve checked, and no. I didn’t find a Vampire. I’ve been here for months now.” he said.

That got me raising a brow. “And you’ve not shown yourself?”

“I only expose myself when I want to be seen, Damon. You know this. But really, I’ve checked to confirm if and there’s no vampire here. What my surprise is, is that my wife, is a werewolf.” he said.

The surprise must have shown on my face because he nodded his head.

“Yeah, I was surprised too. And I’ve taken my time in watching her.”

“You know her?” I asked incredulously.

“You know how meticulous I am, Damon. Of course, I know her.”

“Where is she?” I asked.

And he looked directly at the direction of my wife. I was not even panicked because even the Moon Goddess wouldn’t dare give my mate to someone else. Because she knows it would be hell in her kingdom that day.

His gaze shifted to the woman beside them.

“Zara?” I asked and he nodded.
