Chapter 34 Second, I’m Getting Fucked
ELOISE.
“You think you’re so much better than me,” she spat, her voice dripping with venom. “Saving a guard, finding food, acting like the perfect little Queen. You came out here to play the hero so everyone would love you. You wanted the world to see me as a villain.”
“I came out here to save your life!” I yelled, a flash of anger crossing my features.
I should have listened to my fucking head and just stayed, because the fuck?
“And that’s why I hate you,” she hissed. She leaned closer, her eyes dark with malice. “Even after all the bad blood we have, you still have the good in you to come out here and save me. Who do you think you are? Jesus Christ? It’s so annoying, and I’m deciding to put an end to all these things tonight. Nobody is watching now, Eloise. No drone, no guards, no Lycan King. Just a tragic accident in a storm. The brave “rogue” or sorry wolf fell off the cliff trying to be a hero. It’s a perfect story.
She reached out, but not to grab my hand; her fingers went to the vine I was clinging to.
“What happens when you fall, I wonder?” she mocked. “Do you think those fat thighs would help you bounce? Or would you just break like the trash you are? I guess I’ll find out when they find your dead body,” she said with a wicked smile.
“You backstabbing bitch!” I growled, my heart hammering against my ribs.
“Goodbye, Eloise. I’ll make sure to cry very loudly at your funeral. I’m sure the King would love comforting a survivor.”
The airbrushed past my ears like a freight train. For a split second, I actually thought this was it. I had survived the hard life of being called a rogue, the bites of hungry wolves, and even rogues that kidnapped me, and the cruelty of the world, only to be killed by a jealous brat in a designer outfit.
What a pity.
Summer’s boot slammed down on my bleeding fingers, and I heard a sickening crack. Pain, hot and harsh, exploded up my arm.
“Go to hell!” she screamed, her face twisted like a demon’s in the lightning.
My grip slipped, and I plummeted.
This was the end of it all, the end of all the suffering I had gone through. This didn’t move me; I just wished I got to live life a lot better than this, you know?
It’s wild how you think your life is finally starting to move the way you want it to, and then everything just falls apart. It’s so fucking crazy, I wish I could have had sex, maybe give in to all those guys in high school, but I didn’t want to because I didn’t like any of them.
Maybe I should have given Edward a chance, but I also didn’t like him enough even to kiss him. Perhaps I should have pushed myself with Damon?
Now that thought didn’t irritate me, I almost smiled at the way I was thinking. Maybe I should have had sex with him. Dying a virgin is quite pathetic, even for me.
I didn’t scream; I wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction. As I fell into the black abyss, I saw her leaning towards the edge, a look of pure, evil joy all over her face. She really thought she had won; a thought came to mind, and a little bit of hope came alive in me. I didn’t live with rogues for all those years for nothing.

Halfway down the cliff, my body slammed against a jagged outcrop. A sharp piece of rock sliced my side, tearing through my shirt and my skin. I groaned in pain. I gasped, the air knocked out of me, but my survival instincts kicked in before I could hit the bottom.
With my one good hand, I whipped out my survival dagger. I slammed the blade into a narrow crack in the rock wall. The jolt nearly tore my shoulder out of its socket, and I felt more blood soak into my clothes, but I stopped falling.
I just hung there, dangling over a hundred–foot drop, gasping for air. Oh my goodness, hopefully the dagger stuck in this wall would keep me here till I found a way out of this mess that I found myself in.
The rain was so heavy that it felt like it was trying to wash me off the mountain, and my side was burning like someone pressed a hot iron against it.
“Not today, bitch.” I wheezed, my teeth gritting against the pain.
I looked to my left and saw a dark shadow in the cliffside. It was an opening, a cave. Using every bit of strength left in my shaking muscles, I swung my body over to the side and rolled myself into the darkness of the cavern.
collapsed into the stone–cold floor, clutching my bleeding side, my hand was a mangled mess, and my vision was swimming everywhere. Still, I was alive, so I crawled deeper into the cave to get away from the wind, and maybe I could find something to gring into a paste and apply to my side.
