DAMON’s POV

Tonight was the night I was getting my Queen back.

She has been avoiding me. I didn’t know why she felt like I wouldn’t notice, or maybe she just didn’t care if I did. I tried to give her space for the last week, but I couldn’t. I wanted to let her come back at her own time, but I guess I was far too addicted to her presence to give her time.

I’ve not slept with her in the same bed apart from that one night, but I miss her so much. She’s been leaving me pieces of her clothing and her body wash. But they weren’t enough, my wrist was tired already because of how many times I’ve jerked off to her smell, and it was driving me crazy.

I wanted to use the excuse that we needed to plan our wedding to bring her back home, but I knew I was doing it for my own selfish

reasons.

I missed her so badly that it hurt.

I pulled up to her Aunt’s house. I told my security detail to back off today because I needed to be alone with her, except for the one behind me. He would drive us back home.

I got down and was welcomed by the breeze in the area, I didn’t waste any time as I made my way to the front door and rang the doorbell.

A few seconds later, the door swung open, and an unfamiliar face appeared behind the door.

“Heyyyy. Who are you?” the lady asked, and I squinted my eyes. Wondering who she was, she looked familiar, but I couldn’t place where I knew her from.

“Who’s there, Liv?” My Queen’s voice rang from inside the house, and I sighed in relief. Yeah, the voice that felt like home.

When she showed up behind the lady whose name was Liv, her eyes widened a fraction. I stared at her and used my eyes to rake all over her body. I missed her so much. She looks like she has lost a lot of weight.

I needed to feed her.

“D–Damon, what are you doing here?” she asked me, and I frowned.

“Oh, Your Majesty?” The lady bowed immediately.

“I came here to pick my Queen up. She has been playing hide and seek with me, and I’ve decided it’s time to end the game.” I said simply. Ignoring the lady who bowed.

“I wasn’t playing hide and seek, I’ve just been b-”

“Please come in, Your Majesty. My mum would kill us if she knew we left a visitor outside.” I sighed and stepped into the house.

“Oh, you’re Laura’s daughter?” I finally pieced the information together in my head.

“Yes, Your Majesty,” she said as she walked ahead of me. When I got to Eloise’s presence, I held her by the neck and kissed her forehead–inhaling her scent.

“Go pack your bags, ma. We are leaving tonight.”

“But you can’t just do that. I have to make sure my aunt is okay,” she complained, and I trailed my fingers down her neck.

“Oh, I know that. But her daughter is here now. You can come in for visits. But you can’t abandon me and stay here. That wasn’t part of the contract you signed.” I told her, and at the mention of the contract, she stiffened and, like a robot, she nodded.

I watched her walk away with satisfaction and headed to the living room to sit down.

I saw Laura sitting down by the fireplace.

“Your Majesty,” she bowed on her seat.

“Good evening, Laura,” I said and sat down. Making myself at home.

“I take it you’re here to take your woman?” she asked.

“Yes, you’re right,” I replied.

“This is my daughter,” she said, stretching her hands toward the lady I met earlier.

“Liv?”

“Actually, the name is Olivia. People who are close to me call me Liv, and my mum calls me Livvy.” The lady spoke up, and I nodded.

“Nice to meet you, Olivia,” I said, and she bowed.

“Excuse us, Livvy. Go help your sister pack.” Laura said to her daughter, and I raised one eyebrow.

After she left, Laura faced me with a slight smile.

“Your Majesty, I’m not trying to be forward or anything. But I need to get this out there. Please, do not hurt Eloise. She has been through a lot at the hands of her family. She’s a very strong girl, and I don’t want her to be hurt again. She has this certain light in her eyes now, and I’m guessing it’s because of you. Please don’t dim that light by hurting her.” Laura begged.

“You know I could kill you for saying this, right?” I said, twisting the ring on my middle finger.

“Yes, Your Majesty. But you won’t,” she said and looked her dead in the eyes.

“I will indulge you and ask why you think so,” I said,

“Because you care about her, and I’m important to her, and you wouldn’t want to do her like that,” she said without flinching, and ! almost burst out laughing.

She was so right. Was I that obvious now?
