I didn’t have much time to dwell on the encounter with Xavier Lenor because Lex was waiting for me, and if I delayed a bit longer, she would probably shift in the middle of the Silver hall out of impatience.
“There you are!” Lex shouted, waving her arms frantically as I approached our meeting spot. “I thought you got kidnapped by a rogue or something! Why are you breathing so hard?”
“Just the stairs,” I lied. I wasn’t sure I was ready to share that I’d met with Xavier Lenor. “And these fans. I swear, the smell of so many different wolves in one place is giving me a headache.”
Lex laughed, hooking her arm around mine. “Well, forget the headache. We need food, and then we need to get to the arena. Tonight is going to be legendary. Ive been dreaming of seeing Xavier since I was small, and I can’t believe that the opportunity is here.” She said excitedly.
Before heading to the Moon Convergence, we stopped at the popular BBQ place Lex had been raving about. Since we were werewolves, our appetites were no joke. We ordered enough brisket, ribs, and smoked sausages to feed a small pack.
“You’re awfully quiet,” Lex said, poking a rib at me. “Is it the wedding? Or is the King stressing you out?”
“No, no. Damon is fine,” I said, thinking of him and how busy he has been these days. “It’s just the stress of everything. The Luna Trials are one thing, but being the actual Queen? Everyone is watching me, Lex. Waiting for me to trip on my feet.”
“You won’t,” Lex said firmly. “You’re the most badass wolf! know, and don’t forget, you wiped the floor with Summer’s ass all through the Luna Trials. And if you can do that? Theres nobody you can’t handle. So don’t let any of that bother you. Now eat. We have a concert to get to.”
“How’s your mate?” I asked, feeling guilty because I haven’t really talked to her about it since it happened.
The moment I asked, a pink hue filled her cheeks, and I could tell that she was enjoying every bit of it. I was a bit jealous of that look on her face.
“He’s fine. We have been seeing each other, and he’s so sweet. He does the most unexpected things and says the cutest things. I think I might have found my person, Eloise. I don’t even know how to behave around him, but he’s always making sure I’m comfortable. I’m falling hard.” She said with a mushy smile on her face.
“I’m happy for you then, I’m glad that things are working out for you. I’m sure Sebastian will treat you right. He wouldn’t want to hear from me.” I said, and she laughed.
“Now, let’s eat for real.” She said, and we both laughed as we dug into the food.
By the time we reached the arena, the sun had dipped below the horizon, and the air was buzzing with electric energy. The Moon Convergence wasn’t just a concert; it was a spiritual event for our kind. Thousands of wolves from different territories had traveled here. The scent of excitement and sweat filled the air.
“Look at this crowd!” Lex squealed, clutching her purse. “I’m so glad I bought these tickets. They cost me a fortune, but look at how close we are going to be,”
We stood in the long line, moving slowly toward the heavy–set security guards at the front. Lex was bouncing on her heels, practically vibrating with joy. When we finally reached the front, she proudly held out two digital tickets on her phone.

Chapter 81 Inner Circle
The guard took a look at the screen, and his expression turned ice cold.
“These are fake.”
Lex’s face went pale. “What? No, they aren’t. I paid a huge amount of money to a verified reseller online.”
+30 Free Coins
“I don’t care if you paid a million credits.” The guard grumbled, crossing his massive arms over his chest. “The barcodes are invalid. This area is for VIP guests only. Move along, you’re blocking the line.”
“Please check again,” Lex’s voice cracked. “I worked so hard for these; there has to be a mistake.”
“Move. Along.” The guard growled, a hint of his inner wolf flashing in his eyes.
I felt a surge of protective anger for my friend, but before I could say anything, a high–pitched, mocking laugh cut through the noise.
“Oh, look who it is. The ‘Queen‘ of the Luna Trials, standing in the dirt with the commoners.”
I didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was. Summer.
My adopted sister.
“What’s the matter, Ellie?” Summer sneered, waving hee own sparkling VIP card in my face. “Did the King run out of money? Or did he finally realise you aren’t worth the front row of seats?”
“Shut up, Summer.” I snapped, my eyes narrowing.
“It’s honestly pathetic,” she continued, loud for everyone in line to hear, and people started whispering and pointing. “Trying to sneak into Xavier Leonor’s event with fake tickets? How embarrassing for the pack. If you were that desperate, you should have just asked me. My brother is one of the sponsors. I could have gotten you a seat at the very back, near the trash cans.”
