Just then, the music shifted into a heavy, tribal beat. Xavier grabbed the hem of his black silk shirt and, in one smooth motion, ripped it off and tossed it into the screaming crowd.
The sound that erupted from the fans was deafening. It was a literal rabid scream.
“AHHHHHHH!” Lex screamed, grabbing my arm and shaking me like a rag doll. “HE TOOK IT OFF ELOISE! HE’S NAKED! WELL, HALFWAY NAKED! I THINK I’M GOING TO FAINT!”
“Calm down, you’re going to pull my arm out of I try s socket!” I laughed, trying to steady her.
I didn’t know fan–girling took this much work. I was sure that Lex was going to lose her voice tomorrow because of all the screaming she had been doing, and I hoped she didn’t fall sick.
Because the way she was screaming was crazy. Well, I was a bit surprised because I’ve never found myself in a situation like this before, so I’m just trying to go along as much as I can.
I looked at Xavier again. He was doing some sort of intricate floor routine, his muscles rippling under the spotlight. He was definitely fit, but again, my mind went straight to Damon. Xavier’s abs were nice, but Damon’s were deeper. More defined.
I was aware that I was being a baby right now, and maybe it was weird of me to compare the two of me, but I just couldn’t help myself when I have the image of Damom’s naked body stuck in my head, even though I try as much as possible not to think of it. But the whole situation I was in right now was making it very difficult not to think of Damon’s hot body.
“Damon’s V–line is way more intense,” I whispered under my breath.
“What did you just say?” Lex yelled over the noise.
“Nothing! I said the lights are intense!”
I quickly changed what I said because I didn’t want her to start speaking a whole million reasons why Xavier’s V–line is better. 1 didn’t even need her to tell me; I felt the tingles for Damon, not for Xavier, so I didn’t have any issues.
A few minutes later, in the noise and the music, I felt a shiver go down my spine. It was that feeling you get when you’re being watched, but this feeling felt familiar. It felt like a powerful look. I looked around, but i couldn’t see anything through the dark crowds and flashing lights.
At that moment, my phone buzzed. I pulled it out, thinking it might be a reminder about the wedding flower arrangements for
tomorrow.
DAMON: Where are you?
I blinked. He knew I was out with Lex, but I hadn’t told him exactly where. I figured he was too busy with his important meetings to
care about a concert.
ELOISE: Im at the Silver Arena. Lex got us tickets for the Moon Convergence.
I waited. The screen showed the little bubbles–Damon is typing.
It stayed like that for a long time. My heart started beating a little faster. Was he mad? Did he get angry that I didn’t tell him that t

was going to be at the show? Why would he be angry?

It wasn’t like he cared or anything, we had an arrangement, and our lives outside of that arrangement were our business. I could do whatever the hell I want; I didn’t need his permission.
DAMON: Xavier Lenor’s show.
ELOISE: His music is actually peaceful. It’s good for the soul.”
Another long pause; the bubbles appeared, then disappeared again. Lex was still screaming beside me, but I had tuned her out. All
could focus on was my phone.
I wanted to know what he was thinking so bad, why was he faking this long to reply to me? A lot of things were going through my mind, and I didn’t know which to deal with first.
Fuck.
Then the message came through.
DAMON: Peaceful? Is that why you’re staring at him like he’s a piece of meat?”
My breath hitched. I looked around me to see if there was anywhere I could see him. Fuck me.
I looked up at the luxury boxes, as Lex called them, my eyes searching the glass. He was here. He was watching me.
Before I could even think of a reply, another text popped up. This one made my entire body go cold and hot at the same time.
DAMON: Tell me, Eloise. Does he have a better body than I? Because I can be very peaceful too, if that’s what you want. Turn around and look up.
I slowly turned my head toward the shadows on the second–floor balcony. I couldn’t see him clearly, but I saw the faint, glowing Red embers of a King’s eyes staring straight back at me.
I was in so much trouble.
My loves, with the way these chapters are going, there might be another hot scene soon two characters can’t seem to keep their hands off each other.
