Chapter 57 The Relentless Prodigy
“Brat, are you looking for trouble?” Elias‘ voice dropped to a dangerously low tone as his knuckles tightened, veins bulging on his hand.

As the chief disciple of the Tri–Peak Sect, he was regarded as one of the strongest of his generation. At twenty–two, he had already reached the peak of Martial Grandmaster, standing alongside the legendary Twin Stars of Highcliffe and the Three Brilliants, Four Beauties. However, being slightly older, he hadn’t been included in their elite ranks.
In Astria’s martial arts world, most respectfully referred to him as “Mr. Sebastian.” Yet Leander, a nobody with no known martial skills, dismissively spoke to him, calling his strength mediocre.
“You can always try me,” Leander challenged, lounging on the couch, showing no intention of getting up and clearly not taking Elias seriously.
To Leander, these so–called prodigies of Astria’s martial arts world were overrated. Not only Elias but even Emma, Ethan, and Claire–none of them captured his interest.
“You’re really asking for it!” Elias‘ temper flared as his internal strength surged, causing the vase beside him to shatter from the pressure. He stepped forward, ready to unleash a devastating blow on Leander.
Before he could act, Emma intervened, placing a firm hand on him. “Elias! He’s just toying with words. We’ve got what we needed; don’t let him get to you.”
Elias hesitated but eventually stepped back, his eyes still ablaze with fury.
Leander leaned back with a smug grin. “If you’re too scared to fight, then don’t waste my time. Just get out.”
Elías clenched his jaw, fighting to restrain himself. “You better hope our paths don’t cross again; next time, I won’t hold back,” he declared before storming out.
Emma looked back at Leander, her voice icy. “You may have saved Maeve, but you’ll only get into trouble if you don’t learn to keep your head down. There’s more to this world than you know, and it’s much bigger than you think.”
With that, she disappeared down the hallway.
Leander barely gave her words a second thought. He casually shut the door and sprawled out on the couch. To him, girls like Emma, who were so full of themselves, were everywhere. If not for Maeve, he wouldn’t have bothered talking to her.
As he scrolled through his phone, something drew his attention. His eyes narrowed at a shadow

moving quickly across the attic, disappearing into the darkness.
“Well, well, this could get interesting,” Leander muttered with a grin.

Meanwhile, Elias and Emma walked side by side down a street in Ravenridge, planning to spend the night at a nearby hotel before returning to the Tri–Peak Sect the next day.
Elias stole a glance at Emma’s perfect profile, feeling his heart race. Among the sect members, male disciples admired Elias, while the female ones held Emma in high esteem. Together, they were dubbed the “golden duo” of the Tri–Peak Sect, earning the respect of even their master.
In his mind, Elias had already claimed Emma as his future wife. He vowed to marry her, to pursue martial mastery together, and one day reach the peak of the martial world.
“Emma, I’ll clear the way for you at the Mornwick Martial Arts Championship. I’ll make sure you’re crowned the top martial practitioner in both Mornwick and Listin,” Elias vowed gently.
Though Elias was often cold to most, Elias always treated Emma with special care and kindness.
Emma remained distant, her tone cool as she replied, “That won’t be necessary. I’ll prove my strength on my own. I don’t need your help. I’ll defeat anyone who stands in my way- including Olivia from Tarlyn Guild.”
Determination flickered in her eyes.
She thought, Ethan had been the strongest among the guys for so long, while Claire and Daphne always take the lead among the girls. Sure, the rest of us are seen as equals, but that never sits right with me. We’ve never truly faced off–none of us really know who’s the best.
With the Mornwick–Listin Martial Arts Championship on the horizon, I finally have my chance. Olivia from the Tarlyn Guild–I’ll prove myself if I can defeat her. My reputation will soar among the top nine prodigies in Astria.
Then, I’ll be ready. Ready to challenge Ethan, Claire, Daphne–all of them.
Elias nodded, admiring Emma’s fierce independence. At that moment, she seemed even more captivating.
“Oh, yeah!” Emma suddenly recalled.
“Elias, have you heard about those murders? Disciples from different sects are being picked off individually, and no one knows who’s behind it. Over twenty of them are dead, all killed by some young guy dressed in black. They say he’s not even twenty–five. What do you make of that?”
Elias‘ face grew grim at the mention. The string of deaths was a big issue in the martial arts world. Even top–tier fighters had been taken out, including Ollie Bodkin from the Ebon Sect—a

late–stage Martial Grandmaster. His death had sent shockwaves through Mornwick, even reaching the Tri–Peak Sect.
“Whoever this killer is, they’re no amateur,” Elias remarked.

He then added, “To take down someone like Ollic, they’d have to be at the peak of Martial Grandmaster. Still, there’s something off. The only swordsman under thirty with that kind of skill is Niall Fagan from Bladehold Temple, but the style of the killings doesn’t match theirs. It’s definitely not him. Honestly, I can’t figure out who this guy is or what he’s after.”
Though often arrogant, Elias was no fool, and his analysis was thorough.
Emma nodded thoughtfully, but she couldn’t even piece the puzzle together.
As they continued walking, they neared the edge of the moat. Emma’s instincts suddenly kicked in, and she froze in place.
Alertly, Elias followed her lead while his eyes scanned the shadows ahead.
A figure emerged from the darkness, stepping into the moonlight. It was a young man in black, no older than twenty–five, with a curved sword on his back.
“So, this is the famous Tri–Peak Sect, huh? I’ve heard a lot about you two, but let’s see if you’re any better than the weaklings I’ve taken down so far!” the man stated, smirking.
