The young ladies behind her arched their eyebrows curiously and mockingly as the bold woman stood with her hands on her hips.

Leander carried on with his job, acting as though he had not heard these young women at all when they arrived.

The leading lady took a step forward and scowled. Hi there, that man dressed in white. I’m conversing with you. Can’t you hear me?

Leander finally turned to face them, but he remained uninterested. You were heard. So? Does it mean I have to respond to you just because I heard you?He lowered his head again to keep working and replied, I’ve never heard of The Demise. Leave me alone!

The four young ladies were taken aback by his rebukes, particularly the leader who, despite not having the same beauty and talent as her older sister, was nevertheless regarded as one of Tardide Valley’s most attractive women. Among the three sizable villages, she was the most wellknown. Being The Demise’s youngest disciple, she attracted a lot of attention and was respected even by the group’s gifted male disciples. The way Leander treated her was the worst treatment she had ever received.

Many of the valley’s population revered The Demise, a centuriesold ancient group located in Tardide Valley. To be able to join the sect was an honor for everyone living in the valley. In addition, the valley was home to ethnic minorities, making it impossible for national laws to completely control them. Thus, in Tardide Valley, The Demise was the real lord.

The woman was furious at Leander’s contempt for The Demise.

You are so daring? What kind of location is Tardide Valley, do you know? Are you aware of the significance of The Demise?A young woman nearby gave a chilly reprimand because she could take it no more. The Demise decides every issue in Tardide Valley. The Demise must provide its permission for any outsider who wishes to remain in the valley. You dare to stay in this courtyard in secret even though you are unaware of the regulations. Are you trying to court death?

Leander gave her a quick glance, remained silent, and simply laughed softly while wearing a highly disdainful attitude, as though her comments regarding The Demise meant absolutely nothing to him.

How could youWith a pursed mouth, the leading young lady uttered, Let me tell you. I recently became a disciple of this generation’s The Demise. I’m Sierra Porter. I have come to enlighten you on the sect’s behalf. Everything in Tardide Valley has to follow The Demise’s rules. You will be responsible for the repercussions if you choose not to provide your identity.”

Leander had done tilling the ground. Disinterested, he removed the Silverleaf seeds and sowed

them one by one. I previously paid cash for this residence. It’s my personal space. This is my business, what I do here. Why must I report to you? Does The Demise have the right to inquire about my identity?

All four of the young women’s emotions shifted simultaneously. Anger was heaving in Sierra’s chest. Kid, how dare you underestimate The Demise?she fiercely remarked, giving Leander a stern gaze. Alright, I can’t cope with you because I recently joined The Demise and don’t know any martial arts yet. However, The Demise is full of people who can handle you. Just you wait! With that, she turned and walked out of sight with the other three, still behaving like a little child.

Leander did not even bother to consider their arrival as he gave a slight shake of his head. Regarding this alleged The Demise, he was completely indifferent. Tarlyn Guild was the most powerful of Mornwick’s old martial arts groups. He was even able to suppress Tarlyn Guild. He would not be terrified of The Demise as a result.

Leander planted all Silverleaf seeds. He carefully tended to each Silverleaf seed individually, watering each one as he went.

Ten minutes or so later, there was an abrupt disturbance in the distance. The four women from before made a comeback, this time with considerably more vigor and assurance.

A man was walking behind them. He appeared rugged, strong, untamed, and commanding. He appeared to be twentyfive or twentysix. His face was a picture of fierceness. His hefty footsteps left deep imprints in the meadow and sent dust flying. He struck one as a tough and challenging man at first glimpse.

He seemed rough on the outside, but there was a tough atmosphere about him. He was outside the courtyard, having caught up to the women in a matter of strides. His eyes swept across the courtyard, and they fell on Leander. Then, he grinned scornfully.

Sierra, is that the arrogant outsider you were talking about? He pointed to Leander, asking Sierra behind him.

Yes, that’s him!Sierra nodded before shooting Leander a cold glance. Were you not just being conceited, kid? Ignoring us, disrespecting The Demise? Tyler has arrived, do you feel afraid now? Would you mind saying what you just said again?

The three other women scoffed as well. They simply wanted to watch Leander take a solid thrashing since they found Leander’s haughty demeanor offensive.

The man was an inside follower of The Demise named Tyler Porter. In contrast to the recently enlisted disciples, he possessed incredible strength and bravery by nature. He could break mountain eagles into pieces and take out wild bears with his own hands, even before he joined The Demise. From an early age, he was vicious and nasty, and at twelve, the elders of The Demise selected him.

He improved his martial arts abilities and multiplied his combat capability after joining The Demise. Among the disciples, he was regarded among the top twenty. He would be feared by all in the three main settlements of Tardide Valley.

Leander did nothing but use a hose to irrigate the ground.

Sierra was even more delighted when she noticed that Leander was acting scared. Kid, feel free to express your fear. Return with us at this moment, and bow down before our three hundred followers. This time, you can be spared by the kind elders of the sect.

Otherwise, let me beat you up first and drag you over there! When Tyler did eventually say something, he lifted one foot to make preparations to approach Leander.

With a tinge of schadenfreude on their faces, Sierra and the other women retreated. Everyone was aware that Tyler was never slow to turn violent. Once he got going, he would not stop. Even if Leander survived, his diminutive frame would result in catastrophic injuries.

Stop!

Tyler was about to move forward when a chilly voice called out from the courtyard. He, who had been going to lift his foot, placed it back down, seeing as everyone was stunned. Everybody turned to face the courtyard.

Leander was the one who talked. He spoke, but he continued to water the plants without turning to face them. But everyone could hear his voice.

I have a question. How could such confidence come from an inferior sect like The Demise that can’t even grow past this little enclave in Tardide Valley? Do you think I should apologize on my knees? Does The Demise merit it at all? Would The Demise dare to accept it from me, even if I were eager to go?
