Nira’s POV:

The brown wolf’s claws tore into Damian’s back. In moments, his shirt was drenched with blood.

His team moved swiftly, driving the frenzied wolf back toward the restricted zone deep in the woods.

When Kade noticed Damian’s injury, his expression shifted into something unreadable. He closed the distance between us quickly, scanning me from head to toe. “Are you hurt?”

I shook my head. “I’m fine. But Damian’s bleeding badly–we need to treat him now.”

With Kade’s help, I lowered Damian to the ground. Working fast, I pulled out my medical kit and began applying pressure to stem the bleeding before bandaging the wound.

Her hands moved with practiced speed, entirely focused. The medical tools seemed like an extension of her as she worked to control the bleeding.

Standing aside, I watched her worried, concentrated expression, and a complicated feeling settled in my chest.

Logically, I knew she was just doing what she had to–saving a life. But seeing her risk exposing herself as the Miracle Healer, especially for Damian… it twisted something inside me.

I was certain our children would be strong–I’d seen firsthand how powerful she was before she lost her wolf.

The words left my mouth before I realized how they sounded–like I was giving orders to the Alpha King’s heir himself. It was beyond inappropriate.
