Chapter 211 Test Over
Kade’s POV:
Nira didn’t answer. Instead, she stared straight into my eyes, completely focused, like she was casting some kind of spell.
Her gaze was deep and mesmerizing. It felt like she could pull my entire soul into those eyes.
My heartbeat sped up. So did my breathing.
Odin must’ve sensed I was close to losing control. His cold voice echoed through my mind. “She doesn’t have a wolf spirit. allow you to mate with her.”
was just about to tell him to shut up.
But Nira suddenly let out a soft sigh. She released my hand and straightened up. “Alright, the test is over.”
She had moved close without warning. And then pulled away just as suddenly. Meanwhile, my thoughts were a complete m couldn’t calm down no matter how hard I tried.

blinked. Then I stood up and looked at her helplessly. “Nira, what exactly are you up to?”
She blinked innocently. A sly smile curved her lips, making her look Иke a crafty little fox. “That’s secret.” Then she grinned. “E hanks for cooperating today.”
Before I could say another word, she gave me a gentle shove. The next thing I knew, I was outside the room.
Bang.
The door slammed shut.

There was no doubt about it. He had feelings for me too. What I couldn’t figure out was why he kept suppressing them. For someone with such a powerful status and such a domineering personality, he was surprisingly restrained when it came to
emotions.
I’ve always been straightforward. Whether it was work, fighting, or love.
Now that I’d confirmed my feelings, there was no point lying to myself. Even so, I couldn’t let anyone know about Lyra’s existe yet.
And if Damian turned out to be my fated mate, then things between Kade and me would become even more complicated.
If only Lyra could figure out who my true mate was.
My background was still a mystery. And there was no way the Howell family would willingly accept a girl with no wolf spirit as
Kade’s mate.
Either way, there was still a long road ahead for us.
Just as I was lost in thought, an excited voice came from downstairs.
“Nira! We’re here! Heard you were staying here, so we came to hang out!”
I immediately headed downstairs. The moment I entered the living room, I saw Tessa, Zane, and several of Kade’s friends and subordinates. All of them were smiling excitedly.
I hurried over. “What are you guys doing here?”
Tessa winked. “What? Did we come at a bad time?”
Zane glanced toward Kade, who had just come downstairs as well.
After giving him a respectful salute, he asked, “Mr. Howell, how about we throw a barbecue party today?”
Instead of answering, Kade looked at me. “What do you think?”
I raised an eyebrow. “Sounds fun.”
“Yes!” Tessa immediately cheered.
Smiling, Kade called over Reese and gave a few instructions.
Not long after, the servants had everything set up in the courtyard.
The grill was loaded with food. The charcoal burned bright. The smell alone was enough to make anyone hungry.
As Tessa flipped skewers on the grill, she suddenly suggested, “Just eating is boring Let’s play some games!”
“I’m in,” Zane agreed immediately
Tessa nudged my arm and shot a look toward Kade. “Nira, go get Kade to join us ”
I looked at Kade and lifted a brow “Kade, want to play too?”
He nodded without hesitation. “Sure.”

Tessa instantly pulled out a deck of cards. Grinning from ear to ear, she announced, “Let’s play Truth or Dare Lose, and you answer a question or complete a challenge.”
The game started. The atmosphere quickly became lively.
A few rounds later, everyone was having a blast. Then it was my turn. I drew a Dare card.
Before I could even read it, Tessa snatched it away. Her eyes lit up mischievously. “Nira, your dare is…” She dragged out the suspense. “Make eye contact with the person on your left for three minutes. No laughing alowed.”
The person sitting on my left was Kade.
The moment I realized it, my heart skipped a beat.
forced myself to stay calm. Turning toward him, I met his eyes directly. “Let’s do it.
Kade froze for a second. He looked surprised and a little shy.
Seeing that reaction made me want to tease him instantly.
tilted my chin slightly and flashed him a playful smile.
A soft laugh escaped him.
The way he looked at me turned even gentler, his eyes filled with something deeper.
Looking into those eyes and that ridiculously handsome face, my heartbeat started speeding up again. My breathing grew unev
Before I knew it, my gaze drifted to his lips. His slightly pressed lips felt like a silent invitation. A dangerous urge rose inside me.
gripped the edge of my chair tightly. Three minutes had never felt so long.
