Chapter 212 The Most Special Christmas Eve

Nira’s POV:

Growing up as an Alpha heir, both Lyra and had been trained to compete from an early age. So the moment we heard the word competition, we were instantly excited.

“Sure!” Without hesitation, I agreed.

“Great. Then let’s team up.” Zane quickly suggested as he caught up to me.

“No objections.”

“Works for me.”

“Alright, let’s begin!”

In the end, Tessa and I took first place.

Everyone was shocked by my performance. After all, I was supposedly someone who had “lost her wolf spirit.” Yet my reflexes and stamina during the competition were far beyond normal.

I could only make up some excuse to brush it off.

Keeping Lyra a secret from them wasn’t something I wanted to do. I just didn’t have a choice. Once everything was settled, I would tell them the truth about my real rank and identity as soon as possible.

Hopefully, they wouldn’t be angry with me when that day came.

Before I knew it, Christmas Eve had arrived. The Howell estate had been specially decorated under Edith’s instructions.

This year, there was one more person in the manor. It was me. They had even carefully prepared a Christmas gift for me and placed it beneath the tree.

I blinked in confusion. “The back garden? For what?”

Just then, Edith happened to walk by. She immediately came over and patted my hand with a knowing smile. If Kade asked you to go, then go take a look.”

The smile on her face only made me more curious. I nodded and followed Reese outside.

We walked through the long condor of the estate. The moment I stepped into the garden, i was completely stunned

Dozens of servants were standing throughout the garden Each of them held an exquisite lantern

Beautiful patterns were painted across the lanterns. The candlelight inside flickered gently, casting a warm golden glow

The entire garden looked like a dream it was like the stars themselves had fallen from the sky and landed on earth

Standing at the entrance, I felt warmth spread through my chest

Then the servants slowly stepped aside. The crowd parted down the middle revealing Kade standing at the end of the path.

He was dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, a Christmas–themed lantern resting in his hands. His eyes were fixed on me, gentle and warm. A faint smile rested on his lips.

“Nira.” He waved at me. “Come here.” His deep voice was softer than usual.

My heartbeat instantly sped up. Almost without realizing it, I started walking toward hira.

Glancing at the smiling servants around us, I asked curiously, “Kade, what’s all this?”

He handed me the lantern. His voice remained gentle. “I heard this is a tradition in the Blazeborn Pack. On Christmas, people release lanterns and make wishes to the Moon Goddess. They say the wishes come true.” His gaze softened. “Want to give it a try?”

I stared at him. Honestly, I didn’t even know that tradition existed.

Back when I lived with the Soren family, they had never truly celebrated Christmas with me, not once.

Yet Kade had gone through all this trouble for me, a lump formed in my throat.

I carefully accepted the lantern. Then I noticed something. Beside the Christmas tree and reindeer painted on the lantern was another portrait. It looked strangely familiar. I leaned closer. The next second, I froze. The person in the painting was me.

I immediately turned toward him. “Is this… me?”

Kade’s eyes curved gently. A slightly shy smile appeared on his face. “Yeah. I was short on time. So it’s a little rushed.”

I stared at him. For a moment, I couldn’t speak. He painted it himself?

A sudden sting hit my eyes. I almost wanted to cry. Other than my adoptive dad, no one had ever cared enough to put this much effort into something meant just for me.

Kade handed me a pen. “Come on. Write down your wish.”

I took it and carefully wrote several lines on the small note. Afterward, I looked up. “What about you? Aren’t you writing one

Kade chuckled softly. He picked up another lantern and quickly wrote something down. Then he smiled. “Let’s release them together.”

We walked to the lake. After lighting the candles inside, the lanterns slowly rose into the night sky.

I tilted my head back and watched mine drift higher and higher. Carrying my wish toward the stars. Excitement swelled inside me.

I had to fight back the urge to cry. Turning toward Kade, I asked curiously, “What did you wish for?”

A mysterious smile appeared on his face. “If you say it out loud, it won’t come true”

I pouted dramatically. “Fine.”

That Christmas Eve became the most special Christmas I’d ever experienced the happiest and most unforgettable one of all.

Kade even told me he’d planned a whole series of activities for the next day.

I couldn’t wait. I went to sleep looking forward to everything.
