“This child’s fracture is in a critical location,” I explained. “Forcing the bone back into place will cause nerve damage”

Then, I knelt down to eye level with the tear–stained little boy. “Hey there, bud, How about we try a new way to fix you up, okay?”

Once the little boy nodded, I tapped a device on my wristwatch. An android instantly transformed into a miniature orthopedic traction device, locking precisely onto the injury to stabilize it.

“Nano–grade bone healing accelerator,” I said, retrieving a vial of glowing blue medication from the android’s palm. “It won’t hurt. at all. It’s just cool, like ice cream.”

The little boy’s tears turned to a smile, and he readily cooperated with the treatment.

Three minutes later, when he began moving his arm again under everyone’s watchful eyes, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause.

Beside me, Dr. Beyond glared at me, her lupine eyes narrowing viciously.

She let out a sinister chuckle, then pointed toward a frail girl sitting in a wheelchair in the corner. She looked at me with pure defiance. “This one is a half–breed born from a human pairing, suffering from congenital cerebral palsy. Can your machine cure this, too?”

The entire venue fell dead silent.

The girl’s parents gripped the handles of the wheelchair tightly, looking at me with desperate hope.

I walked over slowly and knelt on one knee in front of the wheelchair. “Could you tell me your name?”

“I’m… Lily,” the girl answered, her speech slurred.

“That’s a beautiful name,” I said softly, gently holding her deformed fingers. “Would you like to try meeting my new friend?”

I signaled the most specialized android to step forward.

At my command, it gently removed its gloves, revealing hands that looked identical to a human’s–except every single finger joint could rotate a full 360 degrees.

“Neuro–remodeling therapy,” I said, placing Lily’s hand into the android’s palm. “We’ll take it nice and slow. There’s no rush.”
