Tessa’s eyes lit up instantly. She waved her arms high and yelled, “Derrick! Over here!”

I turned to look. A tall guy in a white shirt was walking toward us, his smile warm and easy. I caught his scent–pure–blooded and high–ranking.

When he reached us, he glanced at me with polite curiosity.

Tessa jumped in immediately. “This is Nira, my new favorite person.

“Nira, this is Derrick. We grew up together.”

Derrick gave me a nod and a soft, pleasant smile. “Nice to meet you, Nira.”

I could feel that his kindness was genuine. He didn’t flinch or judge me for not having a wolf.

I smiled back. “Nice to meet you.”

Tessa gave us both a playful shove. “Ugh, you two are being way too polite. Come on, let’s go celebrate or something.”

“Wait…” I paused, suddenly remembering Zane. I had no idea where he’d gone and was about to stay back and look for him.

“Nira!” Zane’s voice rang out. He was striding toward me.

“Zane?” Tessa blinked in surprise, quickly straightening up.

Zane looked at her, equally surprised, before breaking into a smile. “Tessa, what are you doing here?”

“I’m waiting for Derrick,” she said obediently.

Derrick nodded and greeted him respectfully.

“Zane, I just got back from overseas. I missed the admission at Howard Academy, so I’m here for the special evaluation.”

Zane arched a brow, clearly intrigued. “With your skills? You’ve got this in the bag.”

Derrick gave a modest smile. I watched their exchange in silence, frowning slightly at how they addressed each other.

Zane noticed and turned to me with a brief explanation.

“Tessa’s my brother’s daughter.”

Tessa, however, couldn’t hold back her curiosity. “So, how do you two know each other?” she asked with a teasing grin. “And you seem pretty close.”

Zane sighed and gave her a light tap on the forehead. “What’s going on in that head of yours now?”

“Ow!” Tessa rubbed her forehead and stepped back.

Zane shot her a look and gestured to me. “This is Nira.”

Tessa blinked, confused. “I know. We just introduced ourselves.”

Luckily, Derrick caught on faster. “You mean the one Mr. Howell picked as his mate?”

Tessa’s eyes went huge as she turned to stare at me. “You’re the Nira that’s gonna be bonded with the Mr. Howell?”

Her reaction was so over–the–top I couldn’t help laughing.

“Yeah. That Nira.”

“No way!” Tessa gasped, circling around me like I was some kind of rare creature. “I can’t believe I just made friends with Mr. Howell’s future mate. This is wild!”

Zane shook his head and patted her shoulder. “Enough. Stop yelling like a maniac. Go do what you were doing.”

Tessa didn’t take offense at all. She grinned and hooked her arm around mine, raising a brow at him.

“Well, we were about to celebrate. So Nira’s coming with me.”

Zane didn’t object right away. After a pause, he said, “Go to Eastspire Hall. It’s our territory, so it’ll be safe.

Tessa lit up even more. “Does that mean we can go to the VIP lounge?”

“Yes!” Tessa practically jumped up and down, pulling me along as she chattered excitedly.

“Nira, you’re gonna love Eastspire Hall. They’ve got so many cool things to do. Tonight, we’re going all out!”

Zane called after us, “Don’t stay out too late.”

“Got it!” Tessa answered, dragging me into her car.

I’d already heard about Eastspire Hall back when I was in the Silvermoon Pack. It was the largest private club in the entire pack alliance and strictly members–only.

And membership wasn’t easy to get. One requirement was being a pure–blood noble descendant or from an alpha family, plus having proven accomplishments in your field.

The club was divided into three sections: the standard lounge, the premium lounge, and the top–tier elite lounge.

On the way, Tessa told me even she had only been to the elite lounge a few times, and only when she was with Zane.
