Orson stood there with his arms folded, looking like he had already walked away with the win.

I didn’t match his attitude. I stayed calm, my voice steady. “We’ll find out after we actually compete. Just don’t feel too embarrassed when you lose to a freshman, alright?”

Naomi stood up. She was the youngest among them, and the only Omega. Her tone was calm and precise. “Today’s challenge combines graph theory and dynamic programming. You’ll be solving a large–scale logistics routing problem. You have one hour to write your code and pass all test cases.”

Orson glanced at the problem, and a confident smile crept across his face. He shot me a look that practically screamed challenge.

Then he adjusted his posture and got to work, fingers flying across the keyboard like muscle memory had taken over.

Lines of code stacked up on his screen at a crazy pace. People around us started reacting under their breath, impressed by how fast he was going.

I glanced at him and let out a faint, dismissive smile before closing my eyes.
