Chapter 95 Game On

Nira’s POV:

Orson stood there with his arms folded, looking like he had already walked away with the win.

I didn’t match his attitude. I stayed calm, my voice steady. We’ll find out after we actually compete. Just don’t feel too embarrassed when you lose to a freshman, alright?

Wow, you’ve got a mouth on you.Orson’s face flushed, his wolf eyes sharpening as he glared at me.

I just smiled and let it go.

Alright, then we’ll judge.Alden stepped out from the crowd. Behind him came the entire Computer Science faculty, along with several visiting professors.

The room instantly came alive. Everyone’s attention snapped to the group behind him.

I met Alden’s gaze and smiled. He gave me a small nod, like he already knew how this would play out.

At the same time, the livestream chat started blowing up.

[Wait, that’s Wallace, right? The Wallace? His algorithms basically pushed wolf tech forward by years!]

The comments flooded in.

[With Wallace here, this match is locked. That guy doesn’t miss.]

Another voice from the crowd added, [And that’s Barrett next to him. In cybersecurity, he’s on another level. Hackers don’t even try when he’s involved. With him judging, this is as fair as it gets.]

The chat kept rolling.

[Barrett showed up? This just got serious.]

Someone pointed at the third professor. [That’s Naomi. Her work in distributed systems is used by top companies everywhere. If they’re judging, nobody’s arguing the result.]

More comments poured in.

[This panel is insane. Total overkill.]

From somewhere in the audience, someone shouted, Alden, are you judging too?

Alden moved to the side and sat down, letting out a quiet scoff. Since some of you think I’d help Nira cheat, I’m sitting this one out. That way when you lose, you won’t have anything to complain about.

Then he gestured toward the professors beside him. You all know who they are. They’ve done more than enough to run this competition.”

Another student called out, Alden, not all of us are CS majors. Can you give us a proper intro?

Alden didn’t even bother looking over. If you don’t know, read the chat.

And that was the end of that.

Naomi stood up. She was the youngest among them, and the only Omega. Her tone was calm and precise. Today’s challenge combines graph theory and dynamic programming. You’ll be solving a largescale logistics routing problem. You have one hour to write your code and pass all test cases.

Orson glanced at the problem, and a confident smile crept across his face. He shot me a look that practically screamed challenge.

Then he adjusted his posture and got to work, fingers flying across the keyboard like muscle memory had taken over.

Lines of code stacked up on his screen at a crazy pace. People around us started reacting under their breath, impressed by how fast he was going.

I glanced at him and let out a faint, dismissive smile before closing my eyes.

I ran through the structure in my head, mapping out the graph, the constraints, the edge cases, and how to keep the memory usage under control.

A few seconds later, I opened my eyes and started typing.

My speed wasn’t any slower than his, but every line I wrote had already been thought through. Every condition, every branch, all of it was deliberate.
