Alden could only hope that he was overthinking things, as the alternative would mean his current situation wasn’t looking good.
Village Keeper was starting to doubt him, and he had originally believed that sparing Old Barrel would help him earn the trust of
Roland.
Even the conversation with Roland afterward made him feel somewhat assured that Roland trusted him, at least to some degree.
However, if today’s encounter with Village Keeper was part of Roland’s plan, it would be a major setback for him.
Before they reached the mine, Old Barrel appeared out of nowhere.
“Frost King.”
He looked at Alden and explained, “I was waiting for you at the cliff, but I had to hide when Village Keeper showed up.”
Alden let out a sigh of relief.
‘So, what’s next?” he asked.
‘Find the Icenfire Ore,” Old Barrel replied seriously.
‘There are three of them in the Rookie Village, but one is missing.
‘There should be two others nearby.”
Alden nodded, as the Icenfire Ore offered a Platinum Level necklace, something he couldn’t easily resist.
However, abandoning his current plans for a necklace wasn’t something Alden was willing to do.
The two of them spent time searching the area.
Given the current circumstances, it was highly likely that there was a hidden dungeon within the cave.
Alden didn’t remember how to unlock this hidden dungeon from his past experiences.
However, he knew there must be a way.
Perhaps, he thought, he could find a clue from the Stonebeetle King.
After all, the cave was filled with stonebeetles,
With this in mind, Alden began to hunt the stonebeetles.
Although his health points increased, he wasn’t gaining any experience.
He was used to this by now, as leveling up was an easy task for him.
What he really wanted was to maximize the benefits of the Rookie Village while boosting his health points.
Ding! “Your continued kills of stonebeetles have attracted the Stonebeetle King, who will arrive in five minutes.”

Alden felt a spark of excitement.
This cave likely had something to do with the Stonebeetle King.
Five minutes later, a huge figure appeared–a Stonebeetle King with a dark red shell, moving toward him.
Stonebeetle King (Black Iron): Level 8
Health Points: 81,520/81,520
Attack: 215
Skills: Falling Rocks, Stone Shield, Terrifying Roar, Stone Ball Cannon, Petrified Skin.
Alden quickly assessed the Stonebeetle King’s attributes before unleashing a flurry of attacks.
Critical hit …
-4918!
Alden’s first feather arrow landed as a critical hit, dealing a staggering amount of damage.
With the Ninefold Longbow boosting his attack speed to 4.63, he dealt 20,000 damage per second.
The Stonebeetle King, with just over 80,000 health, fell in under five seconds.
Ding! “You have defeated the Stonebeetle King, experience +859, but you cannot gain experience points as you are still in the Rookie Village.”
Alden wasn’t concerned and immediately looted the corpse.
Ding! “You have obtained three pieces of equipment.”
Ding! “You have obtained a skill book.”
Ding! “You have obtained the Stonebeetle King’s eyeball +1.”
Ding! “You have obtained 1 Gold.”
Alden raised an eyebrow at the Stonebeetle King’s eyeball, suddenly remembering a spot that seemed to match its shape perfectly.
Deep within the cave!
He approached a stone wall and noticed a small groove in one of its corners.
Upon closer inspection, it seemed the groove was a perfect fit for the Stonebeetle King’s eyeball.
He inserted the Stonebeetle King’s eyeball.
The stone wall began to rotate, revealing a hidden dungeon entrance.
Ding! “You have unlocked the hidden dungeon: The Lost Princess.”
Ding! “You have unlocked a hidden dungeon. A server–wide announcement will be made. Do you wish to hide your name?”

“Hide”
With unfinished matters still pending in the Rookie Village, Alden had to consider Village Keeper and others‘ thoughts.
“Server–wide announcement. Congratulations to the player with the hidden nickname for unlocking the hidden dungeon, The Lost Princess. You have earned +5 Attribute Points. This announcement is made with the hope that all players will continue to strive
forward.

Alden raised an eyebrow and stepped into the portal.
The dungeon choices appeared before him.
“Hell level”
Without a second thought, he picked the hell level.
This difficulty is nearly impossible for most ordinary players to complete.
He entered the dungeon.
He found himself in a dimly lit cave.
As he looked around, small zombies started to appear one by one in front of him!
This is crazy!
Soulfiend Monsters in the Rookie Village?
Soulfiend Monsters are usually seen midway through the game, though they occasionally appear early on in high–level dungeons.
Small Zombie (Elite): Level 8.
Health Points: 10800/10800.
Attack: 95.
Skills: Rampage Charge, Iron Skin, Feral Bite.
Its attributes aren’t bad.
Alden wasted no time and took action.
The small zombie’s Iron Skin was just a minor obstacle for him.
After all, his damage output was real damage.

A massive damage number appeared.
And this wasn’t even a critical hit.
It was enough to be described as devastating.
With his high damage output, Alden defeated the small zombies before they even got close.
More small zombies kept coming, but he carried on fighting without breaking stride.
As long as the damage was sufficient, these small zombies were nothing more than decorations.
