Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 1603

Chapter 1603 Lineal Legend

Nosphaleen looked up into the skies, a helm covered her gorgeous features but revealed those eyes as hard as ice and glowing as though a blue star of their own.

BANG!

She caught Borun by the neck despite his falling speed as though snagging a ball out of the air, the thickness of his neck, even coated in blood, seemingly not bothering her in the slightest.

Her eyes burned.

There was no one left of the 033 Sanctum. She had killed at least a third of them personally, the rest of them hurriedly giving up directly and leaving the space.

For a single person to be capable of such a feat, it could be imagined what the reaction was, but she was far from satisfied.

She needed to be smarter.

Be Strong.

Be All-Knowing.

She had heard these words reverberate through Sylas' mind time and time again, relentlessly and without pause.

There was a reason for that.

When you lacked strength, you shouldn't lack knowledge.

If you had knowledge, you shouldn't lack strength.

Sylas had had a variable amount of both during his adventures, and he always managed to compensate for one with the other. But she didn't have any experience doing the same, leaving her vulnerable.

Under normal circumstances, Sylas would cover for her weaknesses. But right now, he couldn't.

It was her turn to take on his burdens.

Her gaze flickered as she made a decision.

She had felt it in Sylas' heart. He had thought quite clearly that even if her true origins were exposed as a Mesmeryx, it was something they would deal with just fine.

He was hiding her not because he feared this result, but because he was still laying out chess moves to ensure victory when moving into the E-tier competition.

However, it was just as he had said...

Who cared if they knew his trump cards?

[Silken Reverie].

Nosphaleen's eyes were painted in delicate pinks, violets, and blues, as though a fog of illusion was emitting from them, and an enticing fragrance filled the air.

Unconscious, Borun couldn't resist even if he wanted to.

His mind was enslaved, his Will eroded.

[Petalfall Mirage].

The air froze before a light breeze began to ripple through. It was as though the scene had always been a peaceful one, like all the destruction from the previous battle had already been wiped away like it never happened.

Petals of illusion began to fall from the skies, the silky strands of Aether extending from Nosphaleen's body gliding along the slow air currents.

And then the first petal touched Borun, then the second, then the third.

Borun suddenly began to scream in pain, feeling as though he was losing himself every moment, but there was nothing he could do to change things.

She wasn't Sylas-she couldn't adapt as quickly as he could to situations—so she needed to prepare in advance or else she would find herself in a corner she couldn't get out of.

However, what she didn't expect was what she actually found.

The first thing was a Skill, one that she needed more than words could explain. [Whale Sink].

It was a Domain formed with the Whale Warlord Armor as a foundation. Using it, she could completely turn attacks into a sea of strength that she could use for herself.

Not only could she take energy from the attacks of enemies to fuel her own, but she could also just directly take the energy to replenish her stamina as well.

This was the strongest pairing Skill the Whale Warlord had. In fact, it wasn't technically a Skill at all—it was a Growth Skill. The truth was that the 073 Sanctum didn't even have this Skill because they had never earned it.

However, as useful as this Growth Skill was right now—especially since Nosphaleen could steal some of Borun's comprehension as well-there was something else that caught Nosphaleen's attention.

Her gaze sharpened.

The Thryskai? Why would Borun have memories about this?

Nosphaleen dug deeper, and the more she uncovered, the more grave her expression became.

After a long while, she made a decision. Slapping her palms together, she triggered another Skill in Borun's memories: [Swallow Clone].

However, she was far from done.

At the same time, in the outside world, Robareda was doing her best not to hyperventilate, her small fists squeezed together so tight her body temp was skyrocketing.

'Mesmeryx! With two Lineal Legendary Skills!'
