Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 1604

ο»ΏChapter 1604 Which One?

It took a long while for Robareda to calm her breathing.

A Summon capable of such a high level of Rune Mastery was one matter; it was enough for most here to be drooling even if they felt it was a waste. The fact that Nosphaleen would be unlikely to ever reach her full potential because she was a Summon and not an independent life would always be something they could only lament.

But the fact that Robareda was right about Nosphaleen having a beast lineage was what really excited her.

A Gold Beast.

Not only a Gold Beast, but one with not just one, but two of their lineage's most powerful Gene Beast Forms. It was unheard of. π—³π«πšŽπ—²πš πšŽπ—―π•Ÿπ¨π˜ƒπšŽπ—Ή.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Robareda was so transfixed by this that she didn't even have the bandwidth to consider how it was Nosphaleen had managed to grasp Rune Mastery in the first place.

Even if she had thought of it, she certainly wouldn't have an answer at all.

The problem with Nosphaleen was that her creation required all sorts of coincidences and experimentation that maybe only someone who was both as intelligent and as ignorant as Sylas had been back then would even try.

Sometimes... a lack of knowledge allowed you to make decisions that no one would ever make.

The idea of turning a Clypsian into a Serpentes through means of using a Cancerous Gene was probably something only a madman would think of. It was no wonder the women of the Professors thought that Sylas well and truly fit in well with them.

Slowly, Robareda unclenched her fists.

It had been a long while since she had been excited about anything; the world was so very boring.

But this... this interested her a great deal.

Nosphaleen wasn't entirely sure if she had exposed herself just now, but it was enough to know that she might have. Ultimately, it would have to not matter for the time being.

She took a seat in the middle of the churning waters, the floating corpses seemingly having nothing at all to do with her as she reached a state of deeper and deeper focus.

Her thoughts revolved around the Growth Skill she had learned from Borun. Though she had taken on his comprehension of the Skill, Borun was still at Fragmented Mastery. However, he was very close to Common.

Although Growth Skills were incredibly difficult to progress, especially an FF+ one like this one, Nosphaleen believed that-.

Chi.

Nosphaleen's eyes snapped open, a whirlpool of water forming beneath her. The seas churned and the skies shook for a moment before settling down.

As expected. Not only was the Growth Skill far more powerful at Common Mastery, it had a synergistic effect with the Whale Warlord Armor. Meaning, because Nosphaleen's Whale Warlord Armor was Perfect, the Growth Skill scaled along with it.

Even if she had left it at Fragmented Mastery, it would have still been capable of 100x what Borun was capable ofβ€” if a conservative estimate were to be given. Now the difference was easily on the scale of three orders of magnitude.

Nosphaleen thought for a moment, laying out her next plans before she stood. A new wave of Demons was already rapidly approaching.

Each time, the Demons had been the same: tar-like demons with skin that looked like melted rubber and eyes that seemed sculpted of wet mud.

They didn't seem to have any special abilities outside the fact they were incredibly resistant to attacks and could morph their bodies as well. Of course, this attack resistance didn't come in the form of strong defenses, but instead that they tanked damage very well.

"Prince, there's a problem."

A new messenger appeared.

"What's wrong?" Lucar asked, a bad feeling welling up in his heart. But for once, he was overthinking things.

"There's another Sanctum moving toward the location. They seem to be headed right for the 073 Sanctum's territory."

Lucar frowned. Did the 073 Sanctum have other enemies?

This might not be bad. If this Sanctum was strong, then the Sona would have to clash with them as well. This would make things even better. But what he didn't understand was why this new Sanctum was suddenly involved in things.

"Which one?"

"The 002 Sanctum."

Lucar's pupils constricted into pinholes, and then a wide grin spread across his face.

It seemed the system gods were truly helping him this time.

What did the 073 Sanctum do to catch the 002 Sanctum's attention? And what were the Sona going to do when that machine started rolling?

It seemed there was no need to delay things at all. In fact, it was a shame things weren't moving even faster.
