Chapter 1901: None [Bonus]

[Bonus chapters thanks to Rikstingray <3]

Sylas stared out into the distance, his expression still the picture of calm, his gaze unbothered as though he saw right through the Wills that continuously tried to sweep over the area.

They would pay for that, to be sure.

But this, this was just the beginning.

There would come a day when not a single soul dared to disrespect him like that again.

[The Ushering of the 714th Era of the Emperor Sanctum has begun]

[Lineages have {6:23:59:59} remaining to assign their 714th Emperor]

Sylas closed his eyes when he perceived the notification. seemed that he was correct.

Fanelei was still looking around in confusion. She didn't know what was going on because she couldn't see the system notifications. These notifications were only for the disciples and heads of the Emperor Sanctum.

Quite frankly, she could only stand here at all because Sylas' standing in the Sanctum allowed it to be so. Otherwise, she wouldn't even be able to step foot on the mountain at all without exerting a great amount of power and breaking the formations that underlaid it.

Fanelei's confused expression quickly became sharp as she looked out toward the distance. Her body pulled completely taut.

The people coming were not weak, and under the influence and power of the Emperor Sanctum, she had reason to fear them even on a one-to-one basis, let alone with so many of them at once.

At the helm of the surging group-and the first to arrive-was a series of individuals whose auras spoke for themselves.

There was a man with a golden illusory lion hanging just behind his head, a woman with surging illusory tides and the tail of a whale continuously slapping at the air wrapped around her, a man with wild sideburns and canines that seemed half real and half illusory, and finally, yet another woman with a violet illusory serpent wrapping around her body.

However, these people didn't walk around like this on a day-to-day basis. Instead, the illusory constructs pulling at them now were actually being fought against by them. They were representations of their authority being slowly pulled out of them and prepared for the 714th Cycle.

But now wasn't the time.

Their heirs weren't ready, and if it was forced, they would explode the moment they came into contact with these Wills.

Sylas knew this.

Gralith was once a candidate to become the 713th Scorpion Emperor. However, his Spirit Beasts were taken away and used as the core of the 001 and 007 Sanctum Scorpion Lineages.

This was something Sylas had learned a while back, but it made him ask one question.

If the Branch Sanctums needed a Spirit Beast to act as the guiding principle and teach them the Wills of the beasts they followed, then what did the Emperor Sanctum use?

Of course, there was the possibility that the Emperor Sanctum just relied on their own individual Spirit Beasts. After all, they were born with them, so why not?

The Branch Sanctums needed the guidance of the Spirits because they weren't Spirit Beasts themselves. As such, without them, sensing the Will of the Beasts they wanted to emulate would be very difficult.

But the Spirit Beasts themselves had no need for this. They could just look internally.

That was when Sylas remembered something in the Rule Book.
