Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 2043

Chapter 2043: Seraveth

There was an impotence of fury in the layered voice that went beyond just the tone itself. It was like Earth was practically reacting to its very core.

Sylas' eyes narrowed.

Why was his world reacting so fiercely to that of someone else?

This wasn't a small matter in the slightest. He raised a foot and lightly pressed it down. Only then was Earth forcefully stabilized and the voice was abruptly cut off.

The rotating figure of black's head slowly lowered from its shout toward the skies. For the first time, it seemed to really be looking at Sylas.

Really looking at him.

There were, indeed, levels to a Progenitor, levels that Sylas had already stumbled onto.

The weakest Progenitors simply existed, grasping things as they came but not taking a truly active role.

By comparison, Progenitors like Sylas were different. They didn't just passively wait for an understanding of the world to come to them. Instead, he took matters into his own hands, controlling and wielding it like a weapon.

Like Sylas had said, his comprehension of Earth had already reached a Bronze Tier of understanding. The peak was theoretically Gold since Earth was likewise a Gold World.

This gave him far more understanding of Earth than most would.

If Sylas had to guess, even without producing a Progenitor, the understanding of Earth-the true Earth—the First Race had passed along was likely beyond what Sylas had accomplished to now.

But because they failed the Summoning, they hadn't been able to allow Earth a true Progenitor.

Even so, the understanding they had remained, and it seemed that even while not actively trying to take control of Earth, the fury of the figure alone had been able to move his world.

That meant... if there was a perfect combination formed by the First Race—a combination that included enough personal strength and great enough understanding... Sylas wasn't as invulnerable on Earth as he thought.

Based on what he had just sensed from the figure, if they were D-tier he might very well lose the battle right here on Earth. And that assessment was not something Sylas liked in the slightest.

If they were C-tier, he stood no chance.

By comparison, the current Sylas was sure that there was no one in the Thryskai Heaven's Mortal Realm that could defeat him while he was on Earth now. For a member of the First Race to have such a chance at the mere D-tier... It seemed that he was going to have to prepare a great deal.

As for this Seraveth, he had a feeling that he was going to be learning about who it was very soon.

"Will you take a task, Sylas Grimblade?" the voice asked.

"You want me to save your people from your own people while they will likely attack me? Why would I do that?"

A dangerous aura radiated from the figure, but it didn't speak immediately.
