Caroline came to a stop. She wasn’t anywhere else. She was standing right in front of the mother panda.

The mother panda was chewing on a piece of carrot with no interest at all. Then, out nowhere, Caroline appeared. The mother panda jumped up in shock, not even caring about the cub sleeping soundly on her belly.

The food lady! She’s back again!

The mother panda was upset and wronged.

Caroline suddenly opened her eyes. She looked at the mother panda and rubbed her chin. “Are that woman and her daughter hiding here?”

Caroline hadn’t been completely unaware on her way down.

A few times, she had sensed danger coming and carefully opened her eyes just a crack.

She also knew a tornado had arrived.

But she wanted to test this ability. She wanted to see just how strong it really was.

After all, she had already embarrassed herself badly. If the ability wasn’t impressive, she was honestly tempted to fight with the system itself.

Luckily, the ability didn’t disappoint her.

Still, now that she was staring straight at the mother panda, she couldn’t figure out where Brittany and her daughter were hiding.

As she thought about it, Caroline tried to stand up from the wooden board beneath her. Her foot slipped. She lost her balance and fell back down.

That impact made the board slide forward several more feet. It slid straight from the mother panda’s enclosure into the enclosure next door.

When her food lady slid away, the mother pand became furious. She let out a loud bear–like roar at the animal in the next cage.

The animal there trembled in fear. Its body shifted sideways by about a foot, pressing itself against the farthest wall of the cage, as far from the mother panda as possible.

The way it dodged, shook, and hugged the cage wall was smooth and practiced. It was obvious the mother panda bullied it often.

Pandas may look cute and harmless, but they are powerful beasts.

They are just as dangerous as bears. In the wild, pandas sometimes eat meat.

Yes, this adorable animal is actually a carnivore by classification. Over time, they evolved to eat bamboo shoots, but they still belong to the meat–eating family.

Their bite force and strong arms are enough to kill a full–grown adult. Most plant–eating animals are afraid of pandas.

In the cage next to the panda was a llama.

It looked chubby, and there was plenty of grass under its feet, though most of it had been chewed into a mess. It clearly wasn’t very clean.

The llama looked at Caroline with big, pitiful eyes, as if silently asking her for help.

Its eyelashes were long and fluttered as it stared at her, giving the feeling of being gently watched.

That was, of course, only when it wasn’t spitting at people.

If a llama gets angry, it will use spit as a weapon.

This llama clearly lived in fear every day. Even though it ate well and grew fat, it didn’t dare attack Caroline.

Feeling a little sorry for it, Caroline took out a large carrot from her storage space and handed it over.

The llama’s eyes lit up instantly. It started crunching happily.

Caroline immediately sensed a resentful and angry glare from the side.

The panda’s roar echoed again. The mother panda was so mad that she began shaking the cage with both paws.

She screamed angrily, trying to break free and sh out to beat up the llama that stole her food lady.

But to Caroline, the short–legged panda shaking the cage looked more like she was wobbling her body and acting cute.

There was no helping it. Pandas are just adorable, even when they’re angry.

Caroline took out a bamboo shoot from her storage space and casually stuffed it into the mother panda’s mouth.

If she guessed right, the base would soon be able to provide fresh bamboo shoots anyway.

There had to be someone here with an ability that could speed up plant growth. The bamboo shoot she had given earlier, roots and all, was probably already taking hold and growing more bamboo.

While both animals were busy eating, Caroline carefully observed the area.

Soon, she noticed something inside the llama’s enclosure. There was a small door.

The door was dirty and narrow, blending into the wall. The handle looked cheaply made, likely to save materials, and was only about four inches long.

Caroline looked at Kay and Denton. She told them to stay here and not move. If patrol soldiers showed up, they were to help explain things for her.
