After saying that, Caroline reached out to open lama’s pen.
But to her surprise, the pen was already open.

The shaking from the tornado was still going on As she stepped forward, the gate creaked and slowly swung wider on its own, as if inviting her in.
Caroline didn’t think much of it. Things had gone smoothly for her all along, thanks to her ability. She simply walked inside.
As soon as Caroline entered, the llama came close in a friendly way.
This llama didn’t look mutated at all. No one knew where the army had found it. When Caroline came near, it even tried to rub against her, clearly hoping for another carrot.

Caroline smiled, patted its head, and handed it a carrot. The llama’s small tail wagged quickly twice, its fluffy fur looking soft and pleasant to touch.
Caroline then walked toward the door at the back. Just as she raised her hand to open it, the door opened by itself.
And behind it, there was a figure. The inside was too dark to see clearly, but Caroline’s guard
went up at once.
There really was someone in there.
Or was this her luck incarnate at work again? She wanted to go in, so someone had naturally opened the door for her?
While she was still wondering, the door fully opened. A person stepped out and froze when
he saw her.
“Caroline?”
The voice was low, with clear surprise.
It was Tyler. He was also searching for the mother and daughter.
Tyler had been moving through the metal corridors, checking hard–to–reach corners. On the way, he overheard some soldiers talking. They mentioned that the hay in the storage room behind the lower–level llama pen looked messy, like someone had been digging through it. But the storage manager wouldn’t let the soldier go in to clean it up, saying he would handle it himself.

Chapter 636 The Open Door
Everyone knew that manager was lazy and always tried to avoid work. The soldiers complained about it among themselves, wondering why he was suddenly acting so responsible.
When Tyler heard this, he suspected something was wrong with that storage room.

“I’ve already restrained the mother and daughter” Tyler said. “I was just about to come find you.”
As he spoke, he held the door open for Caroline
Caroline raised an eyebrow. This ability of hers really was impressive. Wherever she went, doors opened for her.
Inside, it was pitch–black. Caroline took out a headlamp from her storage space and put it on.
Under the beam of light, Brittany and Echo were quickly revealed. They were sitting under a pile of hay, covered in dirt.
Both were tied up. Dirty cloths were stuffed into their mouths.
Caroline glanced at Tyler with approval. Well done.
Seeing her look, Tyler’s lips curved slightly. “They kept shouting insults, so I shut them up.”
He said it lightly, but knowing Tyler…
Those two must have been saying some truly nasty things.
Caroline’s eyes darkened as she stepped closer.
The light from her headlamp fell on their faces. The little girl turned her head away in defiance, but the anger and cruelty in her eyes were still clear.
Caroline looked at her and thought, The girl real was raised to fear nothing. Even now, she probably still believed her father would come save her
Brittany looked very different. Fear, panic, and trace of begging were written all over her face.
“Which one of you poured waste outside Nelsons and my door?” Caroline asked coldly. “And nearly drowned the panda cubs?
“Do you know that even in the apocalypse, a parla is still a protected animal?
“Just that alone is enough for the base to exile of execute you.

“Oh, right. Only that storage manager knows you’re hiding here, doesn’t he?” Caroline continued calmly. “If I kill him, no one will know you were ever here.
“Then no one would know how you died or how much you suffered.”
She let out a chilling smile.
Brittany and her daughter immediately struggle hard against the ropes, making muffled noises, desperate to say something.
But with their mouths blocked, no words came out.
Caroline had given them chances.
They clearly hadn’t taken her warning seriously.
When Caroline remembered what she had seen when she returned to her room earlier, it felt like she could still smell it. Her temples throbbed with anger.
The image of the cubs soaked in filth, barely breathing, made her fury rise even higher.
Especially the little girl, who was still glaring at her with hatred, shouting behind the cloth, though the words were impossible to make out. Caroline’s expression grew colder by the second.
