**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream by Alyndra Meron Valeen**
Metis had extended a warm invitation for me to visit her clinic, and I thought it would be a delightful outing to bring Evanna along with me.
Her face brightened instantly, a radiant smile spreading across her features. “Really? Thank you, young man! This is the best!” she exclaimed, her excitement palpable.
Without hesitation, she grasped my hand, her grip firm and eager, and rushed toward the door, her energy infectious.
“Wait! What about your son?” I called out, a hint of concern creeping into my voice.
“Oh, him? He’s perfectly fine. In fact, he even told me to go home before he drifted off to sleep,” she replied nonchalantly, adjusting the blanket around her son with a gentle touch before stepping outside into the world beyond.
With no option left but to follow her lead, I trailed behind.
As we made our way down the corridor, Evanna suddenly turned to me, her curiosity piqued. “How did you get here?” she inquired, tilting her head slightly.
“Huh? I hailed a cab,” I responded, a little taken aback by her question.
“A cab?! Baron didn’t gift you a car?!” she asked, her eyes widening in disbelief.
A chuckle escaped my lips, tinged with embarrassment. “No, he’s already done so much for me—”
“No, no! You’re a CEO now, Sebastian. You absolutely need a car! This won’t do at all. I’ll make it a point to gift you one someday. But for now, let’s use my car. Shall we?”
Given her enthusiasm, I found it impossible to decline her offer, so I simply nodded in agreement.
Before long, we arrived at the parking basement, the air thick with the scent of gasoline and the sounds of muffled engines.
Evanna’s car was unmistakable—a gleaming white Porsche parked prominently near the entrance. We made our way directly toward it, the allure of the vehicle evident.
Unbeknownst to us, a dark cloud loomed nearby. Hera’s car pulled up in close proximity, her face a mask of pale fury. Her cheeks were drained of color, and her fist was clenched so tightly that her nails dug painfully into her palm. ‘I can’t believe it… Mila was right! He’s found himself a sugar mommy!’
“I know her. Evanna, wait in the car for just a few minutes,” I instructed, my tone firm.
“Hmm. Alright, then,” she replied, though I could sense her curiosity lingering.
No one could tolerate Hera’s tantrums, and I was determined to shield Evanna from the storm. I decided to confront Hera alone, climbing into the backseat of her car.
Hera turned to face me, her expression dripping with disdain. “I didn’t think you’d be this desperate, Sebastian. You’d even drink stale water just for money?!” she accused, her voice sharp as a dagger.
I frowned, confusion etched on my features. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You know exactly what I mean! Have I been so insufficient that you’d stoop to being an old woman’s boytoy?!” she growled, her voice low and dangerous.
The tension hung between us, thick and suffocating, as I struggled to find the right words to respond.
