Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 192

**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream**
by Alyndra Meron Valeen

As soon as I hit send on that last text, sleep enveloped me like a thick fog.

Meanwhile, Hera sat frozen, her eyes glued to her phone screen, disbelief painted vividly across her features.

“Mila was right! You’re just playing hard to get, aren’t you? You think you can game me?” she spat, her voice laced with irritation.

Mila had departed only ten minutes earlier, but her words echoed in Hera’s mind like a haunting refrain. Initially, Hera had been uncertain about how to approach the situation with Sebastian the following day. But now, with the revelation of his intentions, she felt a surge of clarity. Mila had once again proven her uncanny ability to dissect the games of men like Sebastian with razor-sharp precision.

“You really think you can toy with me, Sebastian? Screw you! I’m far more clever than you give me credit for!” Hera seethed, her breath hitching as anger coursed through her veins.

With a flick of her wrist, she tossed her phone onto the bed, refusing to engage any further. If this was the game he wanted to play, she would make sure to play it on her own terms.

“Let’s see who breaks first,” she muttered defiantly, storming into her office bedroom. She threw herself onto her bed, the weight of her fury keeping sleep at bay throughout the night.

When morning broke, I awoke to an unsettling silence—no reply from Hera.

I frowned, irritation bubbling beneath the surface. “No way. Don’t tell me she’s already reconsidering! Why is it so difficult to shake her off?”

But I couldn’t afford to dwell on Hera’s maddening presence; Claire’s business took precedence.

I quickly washed up, determined to present my best self, and stepped out of my room. Claire was already primped and ready, her energy palpable.

“Good morning, Most Handsome Man on Earth! Did you dream of me last night?” she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Before I could muster a witty reply, her gaze swept over my outfit, and her expression soured. “Dude, your outfit isn’t going to cut it for the occasion, no matter how handsome you think you are.”

Who would have guessed that someone as stunning and polished as Claire could have a bedroom that resembled a tornado’s aftermath? Were all women like this?

I recalled Hera’s room, which had been just as disheveled. I had once played the role of her reluctant housekeeper, tackling the chaos that seemed to be a part of her essence.

Claire caught my expression and cleared her throat awkwardly. “Yeeah… Welcome to my womancave, I guess. I swear there’s a method to my madness!”

“I’ll take your word for it,” I replied, forcing a smile as I surveyed the chaos.

Glancing at the piles on her bed, I felt a flush of embarrassment. “So… which of these mounds contains my ‘perfect fit’?”

“H-Hey! Those aren’t—I mean, they—ugh, damn you!” Claire stammered, her cheeks flushing as she rolled her eyes in exasperation. “Ugh, I’ll get it.”
