"THIS IS Esper Lee Sarang-ssi’s house?" Yuno asked in disbelief. "Wow."
It was a beautiful glass house— so chic, so modern.
"It’s my dream house, for real."
Yuno only realized that he said that out loud when Ki Gayoon clicked his tongue.
Of course, it was followed by a complaint.
"I have several houses in this country that are more beautiful than that glass house," Ki Gayoon said, scoffing. "Just choose from one of them."
"Is there a glass house among those houses?"
"..."
Heh.
"No, thank you, then," Yuno said. Of course, he was just pissing off Ki Gayoon. Why would he receive a house from him? He was already overpaid by simply being his Exclusive Guide. He loved money, but he wasn’t greedy. "Esper Lee Sarang-ssi’s house is how I envisioned my dream house would be once I retired."
"Just wait— I’ll build you a bigger and more beautiful glass house than that."
Aigoo.
"I saw a movie once where the main character lived in a glass house by the lake. That was when I decided I wanted a glass house by the lake once I retired."
"I’ll make a damned lake for you then."
Right.
"Gayoon Oppa! Yuno-ssi!"
When the huge and heavy gates opened, Yuno and Ki Gayoon were greeted by a smiling Lee Sarang.
My eyes are cleansed.
Lee Sarang was really beautiful, after all.
The female Esper usually looked elegant in her uniform, but she looked pretty relaxed now that she only wore a cropped top, baggy jeans, and slippers with socks on.
"So pretty."
Yuno only said that in a low voice, but of course, Ki Gayoon heard that.
"Is Lee Sarang prettier than me?"
"Yes, Hyung."
"Tsk."
"I didn’t mean to, but I heard your conversation," Lee Sarang said cheerfully. "Thank you for saying I’m pretty, Yuno-ssi."
Hmm.
Gayoon Hyung told me that Esper Lee Sarang-ssi forgot why she wanted to meet me after receiving Guiding from Guide Mo Hanjin-ssi. But it looks like she’s still friendly with me even after forgetting about our appointment.
"Noh Yuno likes anyone pretty," Ki Gayoon said to Lee Sarang, pulling away Yuno from his idle thoughts. "It doesn’t mean he has feelings for you, Lee Sarang."
Aigoo.
When did Hyung become my spokesperson?
"I know that, Oppa," Lee Sarang said, smiling. "Let’s head in."
The female Esper then walked ahead of them.
Yuno grabbed the sleeve of Ki Gayoon’s suit to stop him from walking, and then he confronted the Esper as soon as he turned to him. "Hyung, you’re so petty."
"Don’t you already know that?" Ki Gayoon asked as if he was just stating the obvious. "And don’t grab onto my suit— you’re gonna wrinkle it."
Tsk.
Yuno frowned before letting go of Ki Gayoon’s sleeve...
... only for Ki Gayoon to grab his hand.
Hmm?
As if that wasn’t enough, Ki Gayoon really had to entwine his fingers with Yuno.
Aigoo.
Is this flirting or a new way of bullying me?
"The next time you need to cling to me, grab my hand and not my clothes," Ki Gayoon said casually before pulling Yuno closer to his— raising their clasped hands. "Like this."
Yuno may or may not blush— avoiding Ki Gayoon’s intense gaze since he suddenly felt shy. And he didn’t know why he felt shy holding the Esper’s hand when they already had sex. "Hyung just wants to hold hands, right?"
"Don’t ask if you already know the answer, Yuno-ya."
***
IT’S SO cold in here.
But before Yuno could even say that he was cold, Ki Gayoon had already draped his warm suit over his shoulders— instantly keeping him warm.
This isn’t an ordinary suit, it seems.
He was already wearing layers of clothes since he knew that it was going to be cold in there, but it didn’t work.
So, it was surprising that a piece of suit could keep him warm.
"It’s a suit made of materials only found in dungeons," Ki Gayoon explained when he probably noticed the curiosity in Yuno’s eyes. "It keeps the wearer warm. And since it’s an S-Class Item, that suit could also protect you from Ryu Sungbin’s flame."
Ah.
So, it’s a suit specifically made to protect Gayoon Hyung from Esper Ryu Sungbin’s flame.
"Thank you, Hyung," Yuno said sincerely. "But how about you? You’re not cold?"
The entire room where Lee Sarang brought them was like a giant freezer.
It looked like a fancy bedroom, but Yuno couldn’t really see the interior and the furniture because of the thick fog.
"I’m not cold," Ki Gayoon said confidently. "Just worry about yourself, punk." freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
Hyung can’t hide the fact that he’s turned on after seeing me wear his jacket. Or is it our size difference that aroused him? Either way, I have a feeling this won’t be the last time Hyung lends me his clothes.
That’s right— this is where Choi Kangmin’s body is being preserved.
That’s why the entire room is like a big freezer.
It’s so brave of Esper Lee Sarang-ssi to keep a dead body in his house.
Espers are really cool.
Choi Kangmin’s body remained untouched after his death, so his heart...
It should still be here.
Fortunately, Choi Kangmin’s heart and Core were still there.
Whew.
"It’s still there," Yuno said, relieved. "Guide Choi Kangmin-ssi’s Core hasn’t been harvested yet."
Lee Sarang— whose hands were hovering above Choi Kangmin’s body as she recreated the ice coffin— looked at Yuno with a surprised look on her face. "Not "yet?""
"Does it mean someone will try and "harvest" Choi Kangmin’s Core?" Ki Gayoon asked, knitting his eyebrows. "Then that person has to know that we haven’t buried Choi Kangmin’s body yet."
"They’ll know, of course. After all, we haven’t announced Guide Choi Kangmin-ssi’s death to the public yet."
"That makes sense," Lee Sarang said while nodding her head. "But what do they need Kangmin Oppa’s Core for, Yuno-ssi?"
"Poison," Yuno said casually. "A dead Guide’s Core is an ingredient to make a poison that only works on Espers."
Lee Sarang gasped.
Ki Gayoon, on the other hand, let out a sigh. "Noh Yuno, don’t be too useful— everyone will want to steal you away from me at this rate."
Yuno just ignored Ki Gayoon’s possessiveness since he was busy using his brain.
Then is it safe to assume that the serial killer is related to those people who used to harvest dead Guides’ Cores?

MOON NOA almost dropped the bottle in his hand when he saw Ozaki Shohei— Haru’s Guide— cough up a pretty huge chunk of black blood.
It’s the same substance I found in Haruharu’s body...
"Shohei-san, what’s happening?"
Ozaki Shohei looked at Moon Noa in disbelief, and then he smirked bitterly while shaking his head. "Don’t pretend you don’t know, Noa-san. Isn’t this the reason why Haru summoned me here instead of asking you to guide him?"
"I don’t understand what you’re trying to say, Shohei-san. That didn’t happen to me when I gave Haruharu some light Guiding."
"That’s because Haru sealed the strange substance in his body until I got here."
"Why would he do that..."
Oh.
Moon Noa paled when the realization hit him.
Haruharu, you son of a...
"Yes, what you’re thinking is probably right, Noa-san," Ozaki Shohei said while smirking bitterly. "Haru refused your Guiding because he didn’t want you to suffer the way I’m suffering right now. Because, in his heart, you are his one and only Guide— and I’m just nothing but a useful spare to him."
