NO, this isn’t Guiding!
Ki Gayoon cursed under his breath when he realized that the pink slime wrapped around his ankle was giving him Reverse Guiding— which meant the damned thing was sending his own corrupted Mana straight to his heart.
To his Core, to be precise.
It hurt like hell.
Aside from the fact that his heart was being squeezed painfully by an unseen force, his strength was also being absorbed by the damned thing.
Dammit!
Ki Gayoon tried to grab the pink slime, but the damned thing quickly crawled up his leg and his torso.
He also realized that the pink slime had turned bigger and thicker.
Like a snake trying to choke the hell out of its victim.
But, of course, Ki Gayoon didn’t let that happen.
He grabbed the pink slime. It almost slipped from his grasp because, well, it was slippery. But he already expected that.
Hence, he used his ability to turn the pink slime into stone.
However, the pink slime had realized it— turning itself into something as thin as a worm, successfully wriggling out of Ki Gayoon’s grasp.
Then the damned thing flew away before he could grab it again.
And then it disappeared.
Tsk.
"Gayoon, watch out!"
To be honest, Ki Gayoon didn’t feel any threat around him.
But he still trusted 17’s warning and created a wall of barrier made of dirt around his body.
And he was glad he did.
CRAAACK.
When Ki Gayoon turned around, the barrier he had created had already collapsed.
And it was because Song Heejin tried to stab him with the sharp tip of her umbrella.
I want to break that thing.
"You’ve grown stronger, Gayoon-ah," Song Heejin said, addressing him as if they were close. "You should have collapsed by now after getting hit by Reverse Guiding."
"You call that Reverse Guiding?" Ki Gayoon scoffed. "Then I guess you haven’t tasted Noh Yuno’s Reverse Guiding yet. That’s the real deal."
Noh Yuno’s Reverse Guiding almost made him collapse before.
"I suppose it’s difficult to completely copy Noh Yuno’s abilities since we only got a small sample of his Mana," Song Heejin said. "Don’t worry, Gayoon-ah. The next time we get a hold of Noh Yuno, I’d squeeze him dry— argh!"
Ki Gayoon didn’t let the witch finish the bullshit she was sprouting, of course.
He hit Song Heejin with a single stone spear that went straight to her heart.
Unfortunately, the witch grabbed the stone spear before it completely pierced her chest.
However, that was just a distraction.
"Got you, Mama."
17 grabbed Song Heejin from behind, and then he set the witch on fire.
Oh, right.
Ki Gayoon almost forgot that 17 could manipulate almost all elements.
However...
"Let’s stop playing, kids."
The voice didn’t come from the Song Heejin that 17 was burning to ashes.
When Ki Gayoon looked up, he saw the real witch suspended above them— using her umbrella like some sort of flying vehicle.
Tsk.
"Ah, that old hag," 17 complained, stepping away from the burning thing that they thought was Song Heejin. "It’s true that evil people are like cockroaches, huh?"
Ki Gayoon silently agreed with 17’s sentiments.
Good people die easily, but scumbags like Song Heejin don’t.
"I tried saving you from the impending end of humanity, but you resisted," Song Heejin said, sighing. "Don’t say I didn’t warn you later, Gayoon-ah, 17."
And, just like that, Song Heejin had disappeared.
Tsk.
Ki Gayoon wanted to go after the witch, but he got distracted when a part of the orphanage suddenly blew up.
"Jericho!"
Shit.
***
But, at least, he’s alive.
And 17 has basic healing powers, anyway.

Disgusting.
