"BUT, SERIOUSLY, Babe Princess. Why are you easily letting me go? You should at least act like you’re hesitant about sending me away."
Tsk.
Yuno was already busy as it was, and yet Ki Gayoon still had to bother him.
It was just the start of the day, but he had already accomplished a lot of things.
First, they were done sending off Lee Sarang’s team.
Second, he had just finished checking the room that he’d be using for the premiere of his broadcast channel with Jericho.
For someone as lazy as me, this is me being so productive already.
The last thing that Yuno needed to do to wrap up his morning schedule was to send off Ki Gayoon.
But the Esper was acting like a child right now.
"Hyung, it’s you who decided to hunt down Ryu Sungbin," Yuno reminded Ki Gayoon who was tailing him like a puppy. "But, to be honest, I’d rather you do that than keep an eye on me while I’m doing a broadcast. So, go ahead and make yourself more useful."
He actually didn’t mind Ki Gayoon following him around since he was just looking for appropriate clothes to wear for his broadcast. That was when he belatedly realized that all he had were tracksuits, sweatpants, and shirts.
To be fair, all he had were the clothes in his Inventory.
But it wasn’t like his wardrobe was any different.
"You’re being so cold," Ki Gayoon complained again. "If you don’t have appropriate clothes to wear for your broadcast, then use the clothes that I bought for you."
"When did you buy clothes for me, Hyung?"
"Did you forget that the walk-in closet in your room came with clothes and other accessories?" Ki Gayoon reminded him. "I’ll ask Baekho to go to our house and pack your clothes."
"Oh, that would be nice, Hyung."
"You’re finally looking at me again."
Yuno sighed, and then he crossed his arms over his chest while looking at Ki Gayoon. "Hyung, I’ll be fine here. I’m working with Jericho Hyung, so 17 Hyung will stay here and protect us. He’s the #1 World Ranker— we can trust him."
"I know that," Ki Gayoon said, sighing. "I just feel bad that I have to leave your side when I promised that I won’t leave you."
"You’re not leaving me, Hyung— you’re just going to meet your siblings and make up with them."
"They aren’t my siblings."
"It will help if you stop acting like a tsundere, Hyung."
"Yuno-ya, I can’t guarantee you that I’ll have a pleasant reunion with Ryu Sungbin and the other kids," Ki Gayoon said in a serious tone. "Whatever their reason is for betraying the country, they still did irreparable damage and hurt many people. Fulfilling my role as the leader doesn’t mean coddling them."
The Esper might have sounded cold, but he simply stated the hard truth.
Ryu Sungbin-ssi and the others have still made this country a living hell for many people.
Having said that...
"It’s okay to be selfish sometimes, Hyung," Yuno said. He wasn’t taking things lightly— he was simply turning a blindeye just this once. "Go and talk to Ryu Sungbin-ssi first, and then decide how you’ll handle things later. But if things get so messy that you don’t know what to do anymore, then just run away and come back to me."
Ki Gayoon chuckled, and then he gathered Yuno in his arms. "I’ll be back, Babe Princess."
***
RYU SUNGBIN let out a sigh while watching Haru continue punching the wall that separated that room from the room where Bambi and Moon Noa was.
Of course, no matter how the ex-prince punched the wall, it didn’t even have a single crack.
"Haru-nim, if you haven’t noticed yet, the walls are covered in Mana that is completely different from the Mana that the Espers of this world possess..."
BANG.
Ryu Sungbin trailed off when Haru’s last punch actually cracked the wall.
It was just a small crack, but it was nothing short of amazing.
And the ex-prince knew that.
Ah, he must have used his Inventory.
