Chapter 92
Hope’s POV
I didn’t get a wink of sleep last night.

We were in the hotel rooni, the one the franchise had booked for us, and Lia was on the bed right next to me snoring lightly. Safe to say that between the two of us, at least one person had a great sleep.
I’d spent the entire night staring at the ceiling, replaying every single word Levi had said to me.
‘When I decide I want something, I fight for it.’
‘I don’t quit’
‘I’ve decided that I want you.’
The memory made my stomach flip every single time. I’d tossed and turned, punched my pillow, even considered taking cold shower at 3 a.m.
However, nothing worked. His voice just kept playing on a loop inside my head, that low, certain tone that left no room for doubt.
He hadn’t even kissed me after that!
He’d chosen not to. He’d probably seen my eyes flutter shut and decided to torture me instead. That infuriating smirk of his was burned into my brain. He knew exactly what he was doing. He knew I wanted it. And he made me wait.
I grabbed my phone off the nightstand. The group chat was already blowing up, people probably getting ready for the opening game of the Winter’s Crown. It just so happened that we were the opening game, and with everything happening- Levi’s first public game since the break, plus all the speculation about his injury-it was highly anticipated.
I wanted to watch it.
I also wanted to hide under the covers and never come out.
Levi’s face kept replaying in my mind, making me feel things that should be illegal.
I ignored the group chat and reached over to shake Lia awake.
“Let me sleep in, Hope. I’m not that important in the game. You can go before me,” she muttered, waving me off without even opening her eyes. “I’ll be there for the game.”
She rolled over and went back to sleep.
I shook my head at her and decided to get ready. Beth had told me we needed to meet at the lobby at 10 a.m., and there was still half an hour before that. Plenty of time to pull myself together.
I showered, got dressed, and put on some Glaciers merch before heading downstairs.
The moment I stepped into the elevator, I felt eyes on me. I glanced up and caught a couple of hotel staff whispering to each other. One of them smiled at me while the other gave a little wave.
I smiled back, confused, and stepped out.
The lobby was worse.
Players were already gathered, scattered across the couches and chairs. Some of them looked up when I walked in. Others

turned and stared. Spencer was mid-conversation with Desmond and stopped talking completely when he spotted me. Even some of the staff from the hotel were glancing my way.
I felt heat creeping up my neck. What the hell was going on?
“There’s our celebrity,” Beth said with a wide smile, greeting me with open arms.
“Hmm?” I asked, turning to all of them.
Desmond grinned at me, and there was something knowing in his expression that made me instantly suspicious. “That photo is really something else, Hope. You got me feeling like a leading man.”
“Photo? What photo?”
Beth chuckled. “Didn’t you see the latest post from the Glaciers? Aiden worked overtime just to post it. He’s usually behind, but he got it up before midnight.”
My stomach dropped. “What did he post?”
Beth turned her phone toward me, and there it was.
It was me.
That surprise photo he’d taken. The one where I’d been caught off guard.
I cursed under my breath and scanned the lobby for Aiden. He was already hiding behind Forest, trying to make himself smaller, which was impossible because he was over six feet tall.
“Come here!” I yelled, already moving toward him.
Forest grabbed the back of my shirt before I could get far. “Come on, Hope. This is great! Your photo even has more engagement than Levi’s, and that’s rare.”
Scott nodded enthusiastically. “There are so many comments, too.”
“They’re all thirsting after her, man,” Desmond added, scrolling through his own phone.
“Look at this one. That’s my wife… Someone give me her @… The Glaciers were hiding someone like her?”
He laughed.
“I already have so many rivals. Even yesterday, it felt like I was fighting other players.”
I turned to glare at him. “Desmond.”
He just chuckled, enjoying this way too much.
I looked back at Aiden, who had now positioned himself directly behind Beth. Smart. He knew I wouldn’t attack her.
I straightened up, crossing my arms over my chest. “Delete it right now, Aiden. If you don’t, I’ll ask Lia to do it.”
“Lia approved it!” he shouted from behind Beth. “She said it was very pretty. And they’re right. It has more engagement than Levi’s post. We even have a surge of followers on the page.”
I let out a deep breath, frustration building in my chest. I wasn’t someone who enjoyed attention.
I opened my mouth to argue again, but before I could, a voice cut through the chaos.
“Delete it.”
