She did not cry.

Her eyes burned, and the high fever clouded her mind, but she held on with everything she had.

"You can pull the security footage," she said softly, but clearly. "Zoey organized the file and asked me to deliver it. I never opened it on the way."

Grant looked down at her.

There wasn't a shred of desire in his eyes to uncover the truth.

"Pull the footage?" he scoffed.

The laugh came from his nose, dripping with undisguised contempt.

"Do you really think you're worth pulling the security footage for an errand girl?"

When those words dropped, a deafening silence filled the office.

The sky outside was already darkening, the last remnants of the sunset clinging to the floor-to-ceiling windows, stretching his shadow out long and cold.

Sienna slowly tightened her hands by her sides.

It would only take a quick look at the footage to clear her name, but he didn't think she was worth the effort.

What if Lyla Lennox was standing here today?

If Lyla had been framed, wouldn't he have fired the entire company for her?

The answer was painfully obvious.

"Why?" Tears uncontrollably blurred her vision. "Why do you treat me like this?"

"What? Are you feeling wronged?" Grant said dismissively. "Even if they framed you, so what? Did you think I cared?"

Sienna stood completely frozen.

"A vicious woman like you deserves to be framed. Endure it." Grant stared straight at her, as if trying to strip away the very last ounce of her dignity.

"Don't forget how you got that baby."

Sienna's face instantly drained of color.

That night, the system had suddenly issued a directive, forcing her to be intimate with her target, or else all her life points would be deducted.

Left with no other choice, she had gone out to find Grant at a business dinner.

She bit her lower lip, and the moment she turned around, a single tear slipped from her eye.

Seeing this, Grant felt an inexplicable, dull ache strike his chest.

But he quickly brushed it off.

Once Sienna was gone, Leo finally reported, "Mr. Gauthier, Hunter rejected us again. He's very firm about not taking any commercial partnerships recently."

Grant's expression darkened instantly, a storm brewing in his eyes.

"But our people found out that he's been planning a major move lately." Leo lowered his voice. "Rumor has it he might be orchestrating a comeback for the legendary 'K'."

"K?"

This wasn't the first time he had heard of K; the artist's reputation was so massive it was practically a household name.

If she could collaborate with the Gauthier family...

"Look into K's identity."

He wanted to see exactly who this mysterious person was.
