Grant took a step forward, shielding Lyla behind his broad shoulders.

"Lucas, you're crossing the line. Lyla is a daughter of the Lennox family. Why wouldn't she be able to represent them? Is this how the Lowery family raises its heirs—speaking to a woman with such venom?"

"A daughter of the Lennox family? From what I hear, she doesn't share a single drop of their blood," Lucas replied smoothly. "And this is between the Lowerys and the Lennoxes. What gives an outsider like you the right to interfere?"

Grant glared at him, pure hostility radiating from his posture as he gritted out, "Don't forget that our families have a partnership, too. If you disrespect Lyla one more time, I'll burn the bridge with the Lowery Group without a second thought."

"Then you're a remarkably pathetic CEO."

The entire room froze as everyone turned to Sienna in shock.

Didn't she used to worship Grant? How could she say something like that?

"What did you just say?" Grant bristled, his anger peaking.

She was actually turning against him to defend this bastard.

Unbelievable.

Sienna met his furious glare without flinching, her voice deadpan. "Am I wrong? You're willing to jeopardize the entire Gauthier Group over a mistress. Doesn't that make you a terrible CEO?"

Grant took a sharp breath, forcing the violent rage back down his throat.

"It seems I've spoiled you too much. I've let you forget your place."

With that, he reached out and grabbed her wrist, attempting to drag her away.

"You're coming home with me. It's time someone taught you how to properly behave as Mrs. Gauthier."

Sienna fought back wildly. "I'm not going anywhere! Let go of me!"

Grant's grip was brutal, clamping down on her wrist so hard she thought her bones would shatter.

But she refused to yield. She would never return to that suffocating prison he called a marriage.

Just as Grant tried to yank her toward the door, another hand shot out, locking onto his forearm with lethal precision.

He looked down and saw her trembling violently, her face drained of all color.

In that split second, it hit him—she was pregnant!

Was the baby in danger?

Instinctively, he loosened his harsh grip and reached out to catch her.

"Sienna! What's wrong? Is it your stomach? I'll take you to the hospital!"

Before his fingers could even brush her clothes, another figure moved faster.

The moment Lucas realized something was wrong, he wrapped a strong arm around her, securing her crumbling frame against his side.

Unable to hold on any longer, Sienna's body gave out entirely. She lost consciousness, her head falling weakly against Lucas's broad chest.

Without missing a beat, Lucas bent down and scooped her effortlessly into his arms.
