“The calendars have arrived! They officially go on sale the day after Christmas. Who wants to grab theirs right now?” the Chief shouts, lifting a single calendar in one hand while balancing a pile of them in the other.
I launch myself over the couch and charge straight at him, with Jace charging after me a second later.
“Sir, please,” I gasp, slightly out of breath. “I need to see my girl.”
“Not happening, Milo. Scar says you and Jace are both on punishment. Something about terrifying the hell out of her last weekend.”
The comment catches me completely off guard, and I turn to stare at Jace. He looks just as baffled as I feel. My eyes scan the room until I find Scar. She is calmly arranging plates on the dinner table.

“Babe!” I shout across the room. “What is this punishment thing supposed to mean?”
She pivots toward me, her face instantly flushing a deep red.
“Do you honestly want me to yell it out loud?” she asks.
I nod without hesitation. I want that calendar badly.
“Well,” she starts, “when I got grabbed outside the club, I had no idea who was putting their
hands on me, and when I got stripped-”
“Nope. Absolutely not. Stop right there. Do not continue,” I cut in quickly, glancing around the room. Way too many people are suddenly paying attention.
She arches an eyebrow at me. Damn it. She is clearly talking about not knowing it was us at
the start of our wild Saturday night.
Jace lets out a tired sigh. “So what you’re saying is we don’t get to see you in the calendar until it officially goes on sale?”
“Correct,” she says simply.

Jace and I both grumble under our breaths just as Brenna reaches the Chief and takes a
calendar from his hand.
“Daaaamn, Scar,” Brenna says. “You went all in. Hot as fuck.”
“Thanks, Brenna,” Scar replies. “Make sure the boys don’t see the back.”
Immediately, the Chief and Brenna spin around and walk off in the opposite direction.
“How does she manage this?” Jace mutters. “Even the Chief listens to her.”
“She feeds them,” I complain. “It’s some kind of cooking witchcraft.”
“Come on,” Jace says. “Let’s talk to the Chief about the decision we made.”
“Are you completely sure you want to go through with this?” I ask him.
“Milo, I just want my life with Scar,” Jace says seriously. “When you ask her to marry you, I
want to start working on babies right away. I really hope she says yes to having kids soon. I
don’t want us anywhere near danger anymore. I want to stay by her side until my very last
breath. If you decide to stay, I get it, but I’m done. I’ll put my energy into helping the twins
with the clubs instead.”
“No, no,” I say quickly. “I’m done too. But what about her? Do you think she won’t want to
stop working?”
“She already nodded when we talked about it yesterday,” Jace answers. “I want Christmas
to be our final shift.”
We head down the hall to the Chief’s office and knock on the door. The Chief opens it and
immediately lets out a heavy sigh.
“I am not giving either of you a calendar,” he says flatly. “She promised me chocolate lava
cake for mine and Jonas’s anniversary.”
I chuckle. He opens the door wider, clearly surprised to see Dylan standing there as well.
“Hey, man,” I greet him.
“Hey,” he replies.

“You here to ask for time off?” I ask.
“Yeah,” Dylan says. “Scar texted me and spilled everything about where Natalie is. I’m
giving her a week to think it through. Logan needed time to line up a replacement, and Clayton is wrapping up a job. After that, we’re all going to track her down.”
“Good luck,” Jace tells him.
“Thanks,” Dylan says. “What about you two?”
We glance at the Chief. I look over at Jace, and he gives me a firm nod.
“Jace and I are here to submit our resignations,” I say. “We’ll finish out this week and the
weekend. Christmas Eve and Christmas will be our final shifts. Scar is putting hers in too, if she hasn’t already.”
“She already did,” the Chief says. “She told me right before I walked out with the calendars,”
he adds, handing us the resignation paperwork he already has prepared.
“We all look damn good in those calendars,” Dylan says. “And having Scar in there with Brenna–woooo–we’re going to sell a ton. Those two are hot as fuck. Too bad you guys can’t see it yet.”
“Please, just let us look,” Jace pleads. “We swear we won’t say a word.”
“Nope,” the Chief says firmly. “Chocolate lava cake.”
“Ugh!” Jace and I groan at the same time, throwing our arms up in frustration.
“I’m getting us a calendar,” I tell Jace. “Be right back.”
I step out of the office and start searching for my girl. She isn’t anywhere in the kitchen or the common room. I head back toward the bunk room, wondering if, for some odd reason,
she has returned there.
“These are unbelievably hot, girl. Are you seriously not going to let them see this?”
I immediately recognize Brenna’s voice. I duck out of sight so they don’t notice me.
“Nope, I’ve got three just for us. They can look when they get back tomorrow night,” Scar says. Her words make me grin. Still, I know I’m about to see at least one before tomorrow

“So what’s it like, Scar?” Brenna asks. “Having two lovers who are completely devoted to
you?”
“Incredible,” Scar replies. “After everything Brennan did, I never thought I’d ever feel confident again, or fall in love, especially not this fast. I wish Milo and Jace had come into my life before Brennan. But I think I had to survive what I went through to truly value what the three of us share now. With Brennan, I just accepted the relationship as it was. I believed that no matter what he did or didn’t do, that was my future, and I gave everything I
had to it.
