Chapter 28
Milo’s POV
Fucking Scar Joseph.
She blindsided me, like she’d stepped out of thin air and decided to knock the air clean out of my lungs. The first time I saw her was in the grocery store, and I swear my whole brain stalled. Petite, toned, all curves where it mattered. White capris hugging a tight little ass, a
yellow tank showing off tits I couldn’t stop staring at.
And yeah–by the time I ran into her again, I’d already gotten off to the memory more than
once.
That first encounter, though? She was stupid cute. She kept rambling like her mouth was racing her thoughts, and it had me grinning like an idiot. Then later that week at the gym, I got my hands on her–and my mouth.
That pretty pink pussy.
Addictive didn’t even cover it. I was lying in my bunk at the station, thinking about her laugh and that breathy little voice, and I was already hard as hell. I let out a low groan and wrapped my hand around my cock, squeezing for a shred of relief.
“Why are you making noises?” a voice complained from below. “Some of us are trying to
sleep.”
I shifted onto my stomach and leaned over the edge to look down at my
bunkmate.
Jace.
I smiled and shot him a wink. “Remember the girl I’ve been talking about? The one I said could be perfect for us?”
“Scar?” He yawned, then his eyes sharpened with interest. “You finally get a pic? I want to see what we’re working with. Or I could come over and you introduce me.”
“No picture yet.” I lowered my voice. “But you should meet her. I haven’t told her about… us. Maybe we do it together.”

He smirked, all heat. “So why the groaning? You need help getting yourself to sleep?”

I huffed a laugh, but my body didn’t find it funny. “I’m groaning because she’s stuck in my
head. Her smile. Her voice. That tight little body. And the taste of her–fuck. That wet, hot,
tight heat.”
Jace popped up from the lower bunk and was suddenly right there, close enough that I
could feel his warmth. I rolled onto my side, and he stared at me like I’d stolen something
from him.
“You already had her?” he asked. “Without me?”
“We went out two nights ago.” I kept my tone casual, but my pulse gave me away. “Things
escalated. Fast.”
His eyebrows climbed. “And?”
“And she’s perfect, Jace. Funny. Sharp. The kind of woman you’d actually want to talk to
even after the clothes come off.”
His expression softened, then turned serious. “Did you tell her anything? About our thing?
About me? It’s fine if you didn’t–shit, it’s a lot. But why didn’t you tell me you were taking
her out?”
Guilt pinched. “Because it wasn’t planned. It just happened, and I should’ve called you. I
didn’t. I’m sorry.” I held his gaze. “Can you forgive me?”
He didn’t hesitate. “You know I can’t stay mad at you.” His voice dropped. “I love you.”
Then he kissed me.
I kissed him back, slow and familiar, and when we pulled apart I smiled because it was still
true–we loved each other. We just wanted more than what we had. We wanted a third.
“I haven’t said anything yet,” I told him. “No way I’m dropping that on her on date one. But
she’s into the nightlife. She’s a yearly member at our clubs.”
Nobody knew the truth–that Jace and I were co–owners, along with his sisters, of ten of the
hottest sex clubs in Hollywood, Florida. Junia and Joe were the public faces, the ones running everything day to day. Jace and I stayed quiet, invested, and showed up when we
had a weekend free.

We worked as firefighters because we wanted something that demanded strength, guts, and sweat. Neither of us had any interest in sitting around living off money. We liked
adrenaline, and the job gave it to us on a silver platter.
I met Jace when I first came to Florida–wrecked, broke, and wandering. I had five hundred
bucks, no plan, and a heart that still felt cracked. He was out surfing while I took a break
from job hunting and sat on the beach trying to pretend I wasn’t lost.
I’d known I was bisexual my whole life, but when I saw him coming out of the water I damn
near forgot how to breathe. Six–six, built like a weapon, tattoos spread across his chest and
arms. Black hair shaved close on the sides, longer up top–he was undoing a top knot as he walked up.
He stopped when he noticed me looking.
“You keep staring like that,” he said, dropping his board beside me, “and I’m gonna think
you want my dick in your
mouth.”
Turns out I’d sat right next to his stuff without realizing.
“Maybe I do,” I told him.
He went still.
And then somehow we were in the bathrooms, and I was on my knees with his huge cock
filling my mouth. Not my classiest moment. Definitely not my cleanest.
But it was the start.
We stayed friends with benefits for two years. Four years ago, we made it official- boyfriends. Recently, we’d started talking seriously about adding a woman to what we
already had. We’d both been looking, both wanting the same thing.
We’d also just decided to move in together.
Jace still lived with his mom. After their dad died–Jonas just collapsed one day, massive heart attack, doctors said–Jace and the girls moved in to help her survive it. It had wrecked her. But she was doing better now, even dating again, and everyone agreed it was
time they got their own places.

In two weeks, Jace was bringing his things to my place. We’d switched weekends with a
couple guys at the station so we could make it happen.
Just not this weekend.
“This weekend is Mom’s birthday,” he’d reminded me.
Back in the bunk room, he nudged my shoulder. “So she’s a club girl, huh? Little freak
hidden in there?”
“God, I hope so,” I murmured, a laugh slipping out.
His eyes tracked
my face. “Tell me about her.”
I didn’t need to be asked twice. “She was fucking magnificent. Fit but soft in all the right
spots. Her tits are perfect–fill my palm like they were made for it. And her ass… Jesus, Jace. Round, supple, unreal. Her squat game has to be nasty.”
I let out a slow breath, picturing her.
“Long black hair. Honey–colored eyes. Lips full enough to bite.”
Jace’s jaw tightened. “Yeah. I need to meet her.
”
I lifted a finger and grabbed my phone. Thank God we’d traded numbers.
Hey beautiful, what are you doing this weekend?
My Scar: Summer, Gavin, and Maisie are taking me to Club Drei. They won’t tell me the th eme. All they said is I need a masquerade mask. I’m literally shopping for one right now.
You’ll have a blast. Send me a picture once you’ve got the mask on with whatever you’re wearing. Bet you’ll be the hottest girl there.
My Scar: You’re such a flirt. I will. TTYL
I angled the screen so Jace could see. “She’ll be at Club Drei this weekend.”
His grin turned feral. “Fuck yes. How are we tracking her down? We need to get to her before anyone else does.”
“She’s sending me a photo of her outfit and mask,” I said. “We’ll know who we’re looking

“Perfect,” he breathed. “From what you’ve said, she’s gorgeous.”
“She’s more than that,” I said, heat rolling low in my gut. “She’s exotic. Sexy as fuck. And I
don’t even think she realizes it. There’s this shy streak in her–I like pushing it, making her
blush. When she gets nervous, she starts rambling. It’s cute as hell.”
Jace studied me. “You sound like you’re halfway in love.”
“She’s perfect,” I said simply. “You’re going to fall quick too.”
“We’ll see,” he answered, but his voice had turned thoughtful. Then he pointed at me. “Now
sleep. Before we get a call.”
He kissed me one more time and climbed back into his bunk.
I lay there staring into the dark, mind running a dirty reel: Jace’s hands on her, her moans filling the room, the three of us finally finding that missing piece together. The image made my cock go painfully hard.
If we weren’t at the firehouse, I’d have dragged Jace up and had him suck me off.
But last time we got caught, the chief tore into us and warned he’d write us up if it happened again. He probably should’ve done it the first time, but he had a husband and a
soft spot for us.
We were favorites anyway–mostly because Jace could cook like a goddamn magician, and
I made killer homemade mac and cheese.
That was the full extent of my kitchen talent.
I shut my eyes, and sleep took me by the collar. In the dark of my dream, a raven–haired vixen with whiskey–colored eyes slid in and stole the whole thing.
When the alarm finally screamed me awake, my cock was so hard it could’ve broken stone.
Fuck.
Getting into my gear was going to be a problem.
