Chapter 81
We ate, and I filled them in–more about the guys, more about how my life had changed, and yes, a little about the clubs. Our family didn’t do secrets. When I was fifteen and asked for birth control to help regulate my periods, both my parents had sat me down and given me the full sex talk. My dad had even demonstrated a condom on a banana while I wanted to sink into the floor. He’d said he’d
rather I was informed than clueless. Over the years, they’d told me enough about their younger days to
prove they weren’t exactly saints.
Dad leaned back, curious now. “Tell me more about these clubs.”
“They’re sex clubs, Papa,” I said plainly. “But they’re themed.” I ticked them off. “One was a dare club- you earn money collecting dares, and they start normal and then turn sexual. There’s one that’s basically a sensual massage experience. That’s been my favorite so far. And the last one I went to
was an auction.”
Mom blinked. “An auction like… art and jewelry?”
I coughed. “Not exactly. It’s an auction for sexual fantasies.”
Silence hit the table.
Then Mom glanced at Dad and blushed.
Dad’s voice stayed steady, but his eyes sharpened with interest. “Tell me about that one.”
“Okay,” I said, forcing myself through it. “There were men and women bidding. The people who get auctioned off portray a fantasy.” I hesitated, then went for it. “Have you heard of DD/LG?”
Dad didn’t even flinch. “Yes. I’m very familiar.”
Mom’s blush turned into a full–on glow.
I stared at them.
Oh.
Across the table, Natalie’s jaw had dropped like she’d forgotten how to close her mouth.
I cleared my throat hard. “Anyway. The Littles auction themselves, and they keep half of whatever they go for. One girl sold for a million and kept half.”
Mom recovered first. “That’s… a lot of money. What was her theme?”

My stomach tightened. I kept my eyes on my plate. “She wanted to be hunted, captured, and used.
“How do we get into these clubs?” Dad asked, like we were discussing restaurants.
“You need membership,” I said. “I’ll give you the address to the first one–Club Zero. You guys can go
this weekend.”
He nodded thoughtfully.
I still couldn’t believe I was handing my father the location of a sex club. But my parents weren’t
ancient–they were mid–fifties, and I’d definitely seen older couples at the clubs.
“I need to get up for work,” I said, pushing my chair back. “I’m on at seven. Love you.”
Mom frowned. “Wait. Where are you going?”
My stomach flipped. “Um. So… I moved in with Jace and Milo. Across the hall.” I rushed the rest.
“Natalie’s renting my place, and you guys have the spare bedroom.”
Dad’s brows rose. “You moved in with them?”
“Yes,” I admitted, suddenly feeling twelve.
“It’s that serious?”
“I told you, Papa. I love them, and they love me.” I tried to keep my voice steady. “We don’t want to be
apart–except for work, obviously. I can’t sleep at the station.”
Dad looked at me for a long moment. “I don’t want you hurt again, hija.”
“I know,” I said softly.
Natalie stepped in before the silence could stretch. “If it helps, they treat her like she’s everything. She can’t do wrong in their eyes.‘
Dad shifted his attention to her. “Is that so? And you approve?”
“Completely,” Natalie said without hesitation. “I never approved of Brennan. Nobody asked, so I kept it to myself.”
I barked out a laugh. “The hell you did. You called him stuck up and boring to my face. You said I deserved better, someone less predictable, someone who’d actually sweep me off my feet.”
“And I meant it,” she shot back. “Because look at you now. I was right.”
Dad’s mouth twitched like he was trying not to smile. “Natalie is a smart girl. Excellent taste in friends, clearly.” He tipped his head at me. “With her endorsement, I’ll give your boys the benefit of the doubt.”

Relief loosened my chest. “Thank you, Papa.”
I kissed them all goodnight and slipped out.
When I stepped into the condo across the hall, my phone rang.
Unknown number.
My brows pulled together as I answered. “Hello, Scar speaking.”
“Scar?” The voice cracked. “Oh God. Scar, I’m so sorry, baby.”
My stomach turned to ice. “Brennan? How are you calling me?”
“I got another phone.”
“Then use it to never contact me again,” I said.
“No–Scar, please, wait.” His words tumbled out fast. “I’m sorry about Saturday. I was drunk out of my mind. I would never hurt you. Please forgive me. I know I fucked up, but let me fix it. Please.”
“Brennan, I’m hanging up,” I said, voice flat. “I’m in a relationship. You can’t keep trying to get me
back.”
“Your relationship is disgusting,” he snapped. “You’re being manipulated. You’re being corrupted. This isn’t you.”
“Goodbye, Brennan,” I said. “Never call me again.”
I ended the call.
It rang again immediately.
I blocked the number with shaking fingers. Asshole.
Anger buzzed under my skin, hot and restless, and I needed it out of my body. I went straight to the shower, letting the water beat against my shoulders until my breathing slowed.
Then, still wound up, I took a series of naked photos–angles, poses, all of it. I sent them to my guys.
If I was going to bed frustrated, they were going to feel it too.
