The airport? Never coming back?
Felix immediately sent people to check flight information and used his connections to look up the divorce records.
The feedback came back quickly: Stella’s flight had departed several hours ago, destination Europe.
And the records at City Hall showed that the divorce had been finalized days ago. The female party had used a legally binding, blank authorization document signed by the male party years earlier.
Felix froze on the spot, his body ice–cold.
The blank document… it was a promise he had given her years ago, when his love for her was at its deepest, a symbol of his infinite trust and affection.
She had always treasured it, never willing to use it.
He never thought the first time she would use it would be to end their marriage!
A feeling of being completely stripped away, of being unilaterally declared out of the game, a loss of control and rage that bit at his heart like a viper!
How dare she?! How could she be so absolute?!
Just as his mind was in turmoil and his anger blazed, a call came from the hospital. It was the nurse looking after Hazel. “Mr. Vance, Miss Miller is very emotionally unstable, and the baby’s condition is fluctuating. Could you please come over?”
Felix rubbed his temples in frustration, suppressing the complex emotions churning within him, and had no choice but to head back to the hospital.
In the hospital room, Hazel had clearly seen the news too. Her face was pale, her eyes red. When she saw him enter, she immediately leaned weakly into his arms, her voire choked with tears and a cautious probing. “Felix… I saw the news… You two… are you really divorced?”
Felix looked at the woman’s slightly rounded belly and her pitiful face, forcefully suppressing the strange emptiness and agitation in his heart. He put his arm around her, his tone deliberately steady. “Yes, we are.”
A flicker of joy, almost imperceptible, flashed in Hazel’s eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a concerned and considerate expression. “Divorced… that’s good too. This way, the baby and I can be with you openly, and you won’t

have to be in such a difficult position anymore.”
She gently stroked her stomach. “It’s just… so unfair to Stella…”
Hearing the name “Stella“, Felix felt a sharp prick in his heart. He cut Hazel off, his tone harsher than he realized. “There’s nothing unfair about it. The feelings were gone, a separation was inevitable. I will give you and the baby a
proper status.”
To quell public opinion and stabilize the company’s stock price, Felix quickly held an emergency press conference.
At the conference, his face was stern, his words brief, just a single sentence.
“I, Felix Vance, and Ms. Stella Winter, due to irreconcilable differences and after careful consideration, have peacefully dissolved our marriage. Thank you for your concern. There will be no further comment on this matter.”
“Peacefully dissolved“? “Irreconcilable differences“?
Those words stood in stark contrast to Stella’s tweet about him “falling in love with someone else“, sparking even more speculation and discussion.
‘
But Felix used his power to suppress all unfavorable reports, guiding the narrative towards “incompatible personalities, an amicable split“.
After she was discharged from the hospital, Felix moved Hazel into a new villa he had already prepared in a top–tier luxury neighborhood.
Everything here was new, decorated in the cozy style Hazel preferred, without a single trace of Stella.
